Why does Ret Paladin deserve a gap closer? Gee, I dunno, maybe because they literally can’t do anything to anyone without one? A melee class that cannot get into melee range is a class that does not function.

This is what paladins are:
They are the equivalent of a Bear druid with cat druid damage, bear druid survivability, and healing druid capability AS WELL AS a ranged slow.
There is NO DOWNSIDE to playing a paladin.
It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s the most faceroll noob inspired class in the entire game.
You don’t have to manage forms like a druid or use mana to shift forms. You just toddle your noob butt up to someone after you slowed them from 30 yards away and press divine storm 2 or 3 times.
It’s so easy and stupid.
It doesn’t stack with movement speed enchant to boots so once everyone has access to that Paladins have the same movement speed as everyone else and thus will literally need Avenger’s Shield to be able to catch anyone. Even right now against a range if the fight starts at max range they can get a huge life lead on you while you slowly waddle up to them like Robocop if they actually decide to fight back instead of just sitting on their hands like people crying about Avenger’s Shield seem to do.

In case you weren’t aware Druids have entangling roots, and a charge and HoTs while all of Paladin’s heals have to be hard casted leaving them vulnerable to be interrupted. Druids can also shift out of basically every movement impairing effect in the game whereas BoF has a cooldown and can be purged.
You’re just bad and overdosing on copium.

Roots are also a cast ability not like the noobed down instant cast range slow you have.
Gotcha. I know rogues have a rune for range slow, and warriors can get a charge rune to help now too. If paladins are having trouble in PvP catching up/slowing down others hopefully blizz can give them another rune in upcoming phase to help other then avengers shield. But can be trinket removed just like any other class slow/CC. Maybe just on a shorter or 0 CD so it can be applied again idk. Just like a warlock can fear a player again even if they remove their first fear. A priest is not as lucky as their scream is on a longer CD if you catch them again lol.
False. The OP made the thread about Avenger’s Shield and is crying about Avenger’s Shield. If what you were saying was true the thread would have been made about PvP trinkets and would not have mentioned Avenger’s Shield or have cried that it’s “MASSIVELY overpowered” which is blatantly untrue.

So you’re not going to use your brain, got it. That or it stopped working a long time ago. Avenger’s Shield is also not instant cast, it takes a GCD to switch to 1-hander and shield and another GCD to switch back.

on my tank shaman i was hit for half my health by a pally while i had a shield on and being quite well geared with 1 shot.

Slows do not stop you from doing anything other than being able to run away. You can still use every single move that you have, including any CC abilities too.
