Until you play as an Alliance in BGs and face SHaman, I dont want to hear this junk about Paladins being OP. Im even ok with the bubble damage nerf, but Shaman have been op for the entire SOD experiment. The devs even admitted it. They were giving the ability to sustain, and burst. Thats a combination that shouldn’t exist.
If you dont wanna hear it why fear so much about a broken class getting fixed

Wow he globed a BUM rogue that was at half HP. then he globed another BUM rogue in full pve gear. Rogue… probably the squishiest class in the game. Go try that on a boarman with way of the boar and 17kHP.
BTW those rogues were bad…
If you are getting 1 shot by a paladin you are not geared/playing correctly. aka just a BUM.
The best thing about paladins is they are all BUMs themselves that don’t have a wep chain so they just get disarmed for 10 sec and do nothing. They are also in full PVE gear and die super easy.
But what would a BUM warrior in full PVE gear know anyway.
If you were a dev working on paladin what would you nerf?
An all around damage value reduction of minimum 20% at the least, which basically simply means with avenging wrath, you can still 1 shot the average player lower geared than you basically anyone with leather/cloth
but not the warlords and plate wearers, paladins actually have to fight them to win 1v1 and that’s fair rather than killing them in 3 seconds

how could you nerf our overall damage if we are wearing the same gear we would be using in raid and we still are not in the top 5 dps. Ret paladin is one of the worse dps in pve look at warcraft logs. Nerfing our damage will only help those that are bad at the game and complain everything they lose to is op
You link my video saying how op paladins are when I have 4k hp, If I trade my pve gear for pvp gear ill have almost 8k but the paladin damage is a literal joke. In our best of the best pve gear we are still 15th on the dps charts look at warcraft logs. I suggest you learn to play your class better rather than spend hours of your day complaining how paladin is op
It’s possible that your set bonus is what actually gives you the extra damage to 1 shot everybody warlords and plate wearers
But like I said, paladins have the x factor for defensive abilities such as bubble loh and long range stuns which allows you to re heal fully with ease
A paladin’s defensive to offensive ratio shouldnt be 1 shotting everybody
bubble 5 min cd, loh 1hr cd, our heals are only casted no instant heals. Our only gap closer is divine steed which breaks on any cast and only lasts 3 seconds. We have to trade our slow for a kick, our slow requires you to use a shield which you lose a gcd it lasts for 5 seconds and is dispellable with a 15 second cooldown. A paladin does alot of damage because we have no way of consistently staying on target. You play a warrior and your mad your burst is not like paladin when you have multiple charges, a death grip, slows, and shield wall which does not reduce your damage output. If you nerfd paladin damage they would die before they reach the target. but you want it so when we finally connect we hit like a wet noodle. This is Season of Discovery not Classic Era. Our main heal cossts 922 mana 2.5 second cast with 8 second cooldown, I have 2500 mana…
Now on the otherhand another option is, if paladins really wanna stay a “top bursty damage class” then devs can consider reduction on durations of bubble and long range stuns
The defensive to offensive ratio must be balanced still
you know i dont hold wpvp videos up to any sort of call for balance as any real proof of anything as almost everyone is capable of 1 shotting everyone and its often who starts first wins.
gimme a longer form pvp vid in bgs with the hp boost and stuff to draw out fights a bit and see some form of counterplay…
paladin does not have a long range stun. Repentance breaks on any damage and its only 20 yds
bubble doesn’t have any damage nerf in retail lol, but it is 8 sec instead. also can talent to make it a 3.5 min CD. also recently changed to be useable in forbearance when talented, and ret isn’t even the best melee in the game.

whats your point, Bubble is 50% damage reduction and our other bubble we cant to physical damage…
