I keep the party at full health better than a lot of healers…as tank… healers need buffed… it’s ridiculous that i have 50-75% of healing done on other party members unless we have a druid doing the… totally awesome totally fun and modern role of managing green bars…
I’d rather heal as a prot paladin in M+ than as holy, more HPS, more fun and survivability, minus a dispel.

I think this is a big result of WoG just feeling like poop on Hpal.
Hpal just doesn’t have the same modifiers as Ret/Prot does that make the ability feel better to press and be more effective.
Ret has:
Prot has:
Why isn’t Hand of the Protector just Healing Hands?
Why isn’t Healing Hands and Light of the Titans not in the class tree?

…What?
Might work in key levels that don’t require you to use it on yourself but you’re hardly going to best a holy in any respectable key beyond 15…
Because they are not the same.
WoG on prot has a baseline modifier of 250% more healing based on missing health ON YOURSELF.
Hand just makes this modifier work on all target instead of just you.
Basically Prot gets a boosted healing hand on himself baseline as his self-sustain ability.
That’s a legitimate question though.
There are many abilities that SHOULD have been in the class tree, Divine Protection and Divine toll are 2 others that comes to mind.
I mean…to state the obvious, while Prot Paladins are great at restoring chunk damage on random injured party members, they aren’t going to be able to hit the AoE healing checks present in most dungeons…

So you’re doing 70-80k hps on big heal checks in m+?

Yeah, but the wording is the same, right? It’s just a modifier.
Healing Hands - Protection
The cooldown of Lay on Hands is reduced up to 60%, based on the target’s missing health.
Word of Glory’s healing is increased by up to 250%, based on the target’s missing health.
Healing Hands - Ret
The cooldown of Lay on Hands is reduced up to 60%, based on the target’s missing health.
Word of Glory’s healing is increased by up to 100%, based on the target’s missing health.
Healing Hands - Holy
The cooldown of Lay on Hands is reduced up to 60%, based on the target’s missing health.
Word of Glory’s healing is increased by up to 40%, based on the target’s missing health.
Or whatever the numbers need to be?
It feels like there’s a lot of redundancies with the talents and it just needs to be cleaned up. =/
Amen to this. If it’s on literally every spec…that seems like it should be a class talent tree thing yea? basic logic devs? do you use it?
Imagine someone playing holy paladin lol.
it’s nice to see less than 2-1 deaths in higher m+
