What spec do you guys use for arenas?
Go prot. You do more healing then holy and the same dps as a dps

That’s a load. You are also squishier than a clothie when your defensive CDs arent up or you are stunned.

I hit 1800 today via Ret, took me 123 matches
Mind you, I hit 120 on this toon Wednesday, came back to WoW a week ago, and am 366.
Gear helped a LOT, as did lucking into the correct Traits. Most of it was just finding a solid partner (I did 2’s), and having reasonable gear. Once you have those, and know the basics of the class, along with the enemy classes, you should be fine.
Assassination Rogues will ruin your day, as well (some) Disc Priests, Fury Warriors are quite obnoxious as they are IMMUNE to slows and roots while in range of you, and for a bit after (PvP talent). Disc Priest - Assassination Rogue is the new flavor of the month, and it’s going to be a rough ride.
As a fresh 120 in 270ilvl, I played as Ret to 1650 rating by picking up random teammates in LFG. Usually was top DPS out of both teams (thnx for the broken pvp scaling blizz).
Currently 1800s as Holy, still just picking up random teammates here and there, it is pretty fun so far.
I really want to play Prot though. It is extremely cheese-mode, but being able to heal effectively while having pretty chunky burst within particular windows of time is a lot of fun.
Pretty much any spec. Prot is the most likely to get fixed soon though.

They aren’t doing anything to protection paladins.
