currently cleanse is learned at 42. it makes no sense to lock a core healing ability behind another 3 month time gate. paladin healers should be given cleanse at 40
They aren’t changing any core spells or talents because the game uses the same server stack that ERA and HC do, and any changes would change both them, and no Paladins don’t want to waste a rune so they can cleanse a few levels early.
then an item like a tome should be rewarded from a quest or raid to teach cleanse. like aq 20
Or we wait until 42 when we get cleanse, there is zero reason to push things forward do to early raids which will soon be forgotten.
Naaah pallies will be fine waiting another phase
0 reason to have priest be mandatory healers being the only magic dispels
What about Horde?
Nice name =)
Or just give mages friendly dispels, since it’s already been datamined as a rune.
I’m not sure I quite agree, I was of this opinion initially however they have changed even base game mechanics so far in SoD.
The changes to Hunter pet scaling are a great example of this, so I think the games are a bit more distinct than we give them credit for.
The reason priests were the chosen healer had nothing to do with magic dispel, the reason they were the chosen healer is that they got all the fancy healing runes along with fortitude, while paladins were stuck with level 20 flash of light, and holy light which is mana hog, and with ret/prot being boosted so it was easy to swap out holy for healers which had far better heals, while nobody was going to take a shadow priest in P1.
Holy does need some improvements and fun abilities especially after the terrible runes they got in P1, however no they don’t want to waste this on pushing cleanse forward 2 levels.
they spent a month on dev time purely nerfing hunters, im sure they could spar some on paladin cleanse
They need to actually improve holy, they don’t need to waste time giving changing the level of a base ability cleanse, simply so they can have it in P2 instead of P3.
no this is the price for stacking ally for standard advantages
