Paladin, rogue or mage

I have these three classes all at the same level, wanting to pick one to take to 60.

What class out of the three should I do and why?. I’m liking rogue tbh but pally is good to with healing and dps.

Whichever you like more.

Paladins are a great support class but you’ll be mostly healing. Mages farm gold the best and top DPS meters. Rogues are all sociopathic cowards with a Napoleon complex. The choice is yours!

Mage. I think they are best starting class for the farming capabilities. Good in pvp and pve. Free food and water. Teleports for fast travel. But there are tons of mages already.

Pally are ok, but I don’t think you will dps much at 60. If you like healing then go for it.

I would only make a Rogue if you like that type of play style. Mage will be better in almost every way imo.

Or level all three and play the one with the most rested experience.

That’s what I did. Got mage, druid, and about to have a priest all at 60.

rogues and mages are good at every aspect of the game, paladins are healers

no one can tell you if you will like rogue, mage or pally better they are nothing alike at all

you seem a tad bias against rogues lol. objectively they are good at everything in classic besides soloing stuff like dire maul

Farm with the mage to pay for leveling the pallie.

Delete the rogue.

Rogue if you PvP (stealth is nice to level with)
Mage if you farm (easy to level)
Pally if you pve (pain to level)

How much would it cost to “leave” the pally?

Fixt.

Playing a rogue is almost like a personality trait and you won’t will be asking if be a rogue or something else if you have it. Go mage.

I’ve mained all 3. Pally and rogue I had at 60 in original with paladin being my main through wrath. And a mage in wod.

#1 choice now would be a rogue, which is why I’m doing it again. But my reasons are probably way different than most. I love being in the minority faction on a PvP server, and now that I play 100% solo, rogue is perfect. World PvP interactions have always been the most fun and memorable moments of the game for me. Stealth and surprise are the great equalizers when you don’t have strength in numbers.

Paladin was fun when I was the heal bot for the maintank of my classic guild. It was my first 60 and I really enjoyed raiding as a healer. I’m not doing that anymore so I have no interest in paladin.

My friend has played a mage for 15 years and he is the most destructive PvP player I’ve ever seen (And was especially in arenas). When we would run in and die he would roll his eyes so loud you could hear it over vent and then he’d solo 2 people. At 1 point I think he was the 2nd ranked pvp player on arthas. So if you like mage, no doubt there’s a lot of upside in both pve and pvp. They can be really OP if you’re good.

Personally I don’t enjoy DPS casters. I find myself just watching my cast bars and forgetting to keep myself alive. I’ve always sucked at them

Inserts arbitrary Shaman response. Reasoning code : Wind fury proc near one shots target enemy player

I’ll parse this post.

He likes to gank players when they are just sitting to eat and drink, or when they have 3 mobs on them. The best strategy if you wanna grief is to make sure that whoever you are ganking actually dies to the mobs.
As for paladin, you just never die.

Those single target heals are like nothing else. Those blessing put shamans in the corner.

Play the class with insane utility and feel good. Be sure to pat yourself.

Why actually try to play something that requires more concentration when you can auto attack and come on top in dps. Shadow priest no mobility, warlock ehh? Mage you can live here. Elemental shamans and mookin, I’m not sure how they even fare.

Thanks for reading.

Edit: I actually made a druid just to check out the stealth, It’s pretty fun.

wow what a dick

edit: thanks for letting me know you edited your post. i was wondering if you had

If you have to ask… go Mage. Nobody in the history of WoW has ever regretted rolling a Mage.

Paladin is the master race and when played properly can beat any class at any role in any spec.

Until they have to compete for raid loot or spots with 200 billion other mages lol

The only viable spec for Paladin is healing. Ret is absolutely garbage, even with hand of Rag. Prot is okay for dungeons

Mages are the most OP class in classic, awesome at pvp, honesty you don’t even need to to be that good to destroy a few classes. In pve they are up the top of the pack in dps. They make a ton of gold Aoe farming. Easy to play. Only downside is there are tons of Mages, so even if you get into a MC, BWL raid expect to be rolling against 8-10 other Mages

Rogues can do some crazy dps in Pve, pvp 1vs1 they can be deadly especially if you have some skill

Honestly play what you enjoy the most. If you want a guaranteed raid spot, premade spot role a healer. You can always level up your mage as a farmer
