Reckoning isn’t working at all. I’m not talking about exploiting with sitting down mid-combat etc. I mean when you get crit you are not getting Reckoning procs.

Agreed. I have been trying to spot it if reckoning activates, but it does not look to be going off at all, no matter how many or few are hitting you from any directions.

I have 5/5 Reckoning and the buff never activated even tho redoubt activate.

It doesn’t grant an extra attack anymore. It only resets your swing timer to zero. So if you get crit right after auto attacking, it will show two attacks nearly at the same time, like you would expect. But if you are about to auto attack (nearing the end of the swing timer) and get crit, it basically does nothing, and you won’t see any extra attack, it just shortens that swing by however much was left. To me it’s a clear bug, unless they change the talent to “reduce swing timer to 0” instead of “extra attack”.
Recently a YouTuber found that if you cancel your auto attacks after swinging, you can mimick getting the extra attack in a way. The best way to do it is using /startattack and /stopattack in the same macro and spam it at the end of your swing timer. It’s pretty scuffed though.
If your going to spec prot I don’t think it’s worth it at the moment, everything has to line up to see it work.

It does not stack to 5? Damnit…i was discouraged from rolling paladin when they removed sit stacking but figured i would still be able to reckbomb in pvp by letting a mob wail on me for a minute or two. This sucks man.

Paladins already had the shortest end of the shortest stick in Vanilla. Why give them such a stupid nerf? I get sit stacking ofcourse but, this is ridiculous. Why even play a paladin in classic if all we can do effectively in high end group content is heal?

This is ridiculous. This is clearly not how it’s supposed to work. I could care less about the /sit thing, but having the ability straight up not work with auto attacking is awful.

This is insane…a huge disappointment. Was really looking forward to unleashing on these rogues that can make you miserable and it’s like, one less tool to survive. Unbelievable.

guys - YOU HAVE TO HAVE AUTO-ATTACK TURNED OFF IN ORDER TO STACK A FULL BOMB - that is how it was back in Vanilla

It does work but not in the way people think.
It activates when you receive crit damage.
you can stack it as long as you’re not attacking.
I tried it on a mob, let it crit me 3 times (because that was enough to test) then as soon as I attacked it unleashed 3 attacks on top of my normal attack.
It works, it’s just not practical.
The misconception from what I gather is that it works automatically with your attack, not a separate ability that can be stored and used.

You can stack reck charges, when not attacking.
But when you compare it to Hoj or sword spec and how well those track extra attacks reck is pathetic.
