I really want to do some healing in TBC but even after watching a couple videos I still can’t decide which to choose. Does anyone here have any experience of which is the most fun to them?
Since they won’t be playing for you no one can actually answer what’s fun for you.
That’s such a non-answer. Why are people afraid to give their opinion when it’s asked for?
Based on rotation and talent build options, priest seems more exciting. I guess it depends on what’s ‘fun’ for you.
priest by a 100 miles.
idk how people heal on paladins with the lack of spells
My personal opinion, I think Paladins are very good Healers.
I mained a holy paladin back in TBC and I would recommend going priest. You have to run a lot of 5-mans and the lack of utility in paladin heals eventually burned me out.
I healed as a holy paladin through much of TBC back in the day. Raid healing’s a lot like playing whack-a-mole. If your job is to heal the main tank, it’s then extremely boring.
Since they had better itemization for paladins during TBC, I strongly recommend that you don’t wear paper plate… A holy paladin is designed to take hits.
Yeah priests by far are better healers than paladins in TBC, and consist of more than just hitting flash of light on single target
Paladin is dreadfully boring.
Paladin healing is good, maybe a little boring. If someone has an issue keeping people alive in 5 mans, idk what to tell you. I’ve never had an issue.
You can go to a instant 70 server, and try for yourself. I did this to try out priest healing and rather enjoyed it.
paladin is easy to play harder to use, why? you don’t have enough tools which can lead to frustration
priest is a harder to play but easier to use, why? you have tools for every single situation but you need to know how to use them
Because you’re going to get all different answers from everyone because they all have different tastes…not that hard to see…
Now that everyone has chosen both for various reasons which answer is right?
Priests have more healing options and a coh priest is the best healer but they bring very limited utility to a raid. Probably only 1 spot, maybe 2 in a 25 man comp. They’re the best dungeon healers since they have fade and again, a lot more healing options. Apparently, they are very good in arena pvp.
You need at least 2 paladins for the seals and probably 3 since I’ve heard the old trick of having an alt give out blessings and log does not work on the beta. You only need 1 ret and maybe 1 prot, we’ll see on that. Also, 1-2 spots in a raid. Is having 1 heal be used 90% of the time boring? Eh, maybe. It is a nice fast heal and lends to a hyper, quick reactions game. This isn’t dps, so there are different ranks to choose from and more importantly, the timing and target selection are most important. That is, you’re not standing there pressing shadowbolt over and over.
Because people are weird and hateful
Would go space goat priest as they give mana regen and 1%+ spellhit to party. But if you are a space goat shaman healer you might have a good amount less difficulty finding groups.
Priest and it’s not even remotely close.
Priests use:
Circle of Healing
Binding Heal
Flash Heal
Greater Heal
Prayer of Mending
Renew
Power Word: Shield
Prayer of Healing
Paladins use:
Flash of Light. Alot.
Priests are more fun for healing than paladins.
Resto shaman will honestly be the desired healer for tbc. Chain heal, blood lust, totems.
Druids get a ton of love too. Life bloom can be fully stacked on 2-3 targets, and heals for a ton, and can be maintained forever. Then roll your other hots to maintain tanks.
Because they only need like 2…
