You have DKs, the anti-paladins for every race.
Why not paladins? Not like it takes much to step up and devote to the light.
No need to give a unique mount for each race either.

Because being antithetical to the Paladin theme via a third party raising Death Knights doesn’t have anything to do with racial tendencies toward the Light.

there’s a difference between worshipping the Light to the point that it is infused into your very existence, and having your corpse reanimated to fight the skeleton war.

Does that mean we will we get a patch where we go after the Knights of the Ebon Blade like we did the Lich King in Wrath? Can’t go forcibly raising people to undeath without consequences. Oh wait, this is Blizzard we are talking about. Never mind.

Except it is if you actually pay attention to the lore. Every time a DK uses the Light they should get burned or stunned momentarily.

There should be consequences because why would everyone let that just happen? Then again there’s a bunch of stuff that just gets a hand wave. It’s why I find the story so awful.

Let me know the next time you see a Lightforged Death Knight use the Light, and then you’d have a point. But just to go ahead and head this off, they don’t. They were Lightforged in life, and retain the title after death and being resurrected. That’s it. It’s that simple.

We only picked up dead people in preparation for the LK to try and take over, turns out he played us into making an army to fight Sylvanas and the Maw. Also DKs already paid the paladins back so it’s water under the bridge.
DKs gotta get our forces from somewhere to handle these grave threats.

DKs and Paladins are different. Anyone can be raised into undeath and become a DK, not everyone can become a paladin.
