How annoying was it?
I vaguely remember doing it during the BC but groups doing the quests were rare as I started late.

It was some time ago on my alliance pally. I remember it was fun. I remember it gave a very enjoyable sense of accomplishment.
I’ve heard it’s very expensive and takes a long time, definitely not the preconception that people have of “go to trainer, get mount skill”. A paladin in our Classic guild is planning on skipping it, buying the regular mount, in order to get to 60 faster.
The 40 mount is just bought at the trainer. The 60 mount is the expensive mount requiring lots of time.

Ah man I loved it when it came out!
So the quest is a lot of fun and I’m pretty sure the Legion mount is a solid throwback to it.
Yeah the Pristine Black Diamond was the hardest part. Getting that to drop or farming the gold to buy it - either way that was the rough part.
Other than that sit back and enjoy the ride. I did the scholo fight with 4 other paladins I believe.

The pally quest is probably not as grueling as the MC Hunter bow quest line…
