[Paladin DPS] Cons & SoM & Exo vs SoC & DS

Has any1 test to see which does better dps (both options will use Crusader Strike)

Consecration+Seal of Maytrdom(SoM)+Exocism

  • since SoM gives mana it should be able to sustain enough consecration & exorcism
  • Going into holy gives Divine Strength & Intellect so 10% for both stats

or

Seal of Command+Divine Storm

  • Exorcism can be an option but burns mana quickly if spam
  • Have the option to increase crit at the expense of 10% strength from holy tree

SoM’s mana return is as close to nothing as you can get without being literally nothing. It’s 20% of 10% of 30% of weapon damage, or 1 mana every 3.5 seconds.

SoC, DS, Exo is the play. Some bosses, like turtle, it’s better to go SoM and twist SoR, but on any normal fight, stick to what everyone has been using.

CS vs Taunt is up to your threat and mana situation when tanking.

Mana from SoM sucks so badly that it’s honestly a joke.
Let’s take a look at the math:

200 white hit
60 Seal of Martyrdom hit
6 damage to self
1.2 mana

It’ll round up to 2 mana, but that’s like 2 mana every 3.5 seconds. That’s pretty bad.

Seal of Command + Divine Storm + Exorcism is the way to go. Fights don’t last that long anyway, so just bring a mana pot if you need it.

For me consecration ticks for like 8 damage so I only used it for threat. I since switch to ret so haven’t had the chance to play with/gear talents seeing if I could get more damage out of it but I think it’s just one of those too low of a spell rank issues.

put those seals away and start healing

seriously though any paladin worth a damn in a group setting will use SoM to keep mana up for the group and offheal when needed. stop chasing parses

SoM is crap mana, dude. It’s literally worse than Rank 1 Blessing of Wisdom lol
Divine Storm heals up to 3 party/raid members for 25% of the damage dealt. It’s way better healing than trying to do offheals and going oom.

I hope whatever is bothering you in your life improves and you’re able to find peace. good luck friend

its a shame they make such a great seal and make it useless; they should had just gone with dmg done instead of dmg taken.

its the same thing, it would just be 2% from damage done instead of 20% from damage taken. same result

who says it has to be 2%? it could easily get push up to 10 or 20%, even Divine Storm is at 25%…
