I was just in a solo shuffle and the tilted ret pally either dc’d or ragequit (I assumed ragequit) and you know how if someone goes offline it will still start the next match and take a minute for the character to actually leave the arena and end the shuffle?
Well for whatever reason this paladin was clearly offline because their arena frame was greyed out with the “Offline” status over the box and they were sitting stationary in the starting area doing nothing. So naturally we went to kill the offline in the starting zone before the arena ended and when we got the paladin to low health it activated bubble (Divine Shield) even though the character was still offline.
There’s no talent that automatically activates bubble at low health right? Is there an addon or something that does that?
I’ve seen that from paladins over the last few years. Never mages, but I could just have been unlucky with what I happen to see
Devs just like paladins I guess

This is actually interesting. Do you have a clip of it by chance? Ret hasn’t had auto bubble since legion and idk if there is any sort of macro or anything that continues to run after someone goes offline but the chatacter is still there.
No sorry no clip I was just casually doing the shuffle weekly, didn’t care to record and I don’t stream. I admit a large part of me wants to report this person (for more than just sabotaging the shuffle that everyone waited in queue for) but I wanted to check first in case I was missing something.
Are you sure he didnt come back for a second, bubble, and just decide to leave?

No I’m not completely sure but when the character bubbled it still didn’t move or take any action. The arena did end before the bubble ran out so that’s certainly possible. It was right about the time when the match usually registers the logout and ends early though.
Also want to add that the character went offline immediately after cussing us out and calling us trash so it looked suspiciously like a ragequit.
If you dc the game will press your defensives for you.
I’ve seen it with spriest disperse and lock wall

That’s crazy I’ve never seen that happen lol. Then again i can also probably count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen someone dc in recent history.
Lol i guess it turns the mind control ai from pve on?
where the game tries to use every defensive and cc you have to be annoying
