Paladin 5 minute buffs for 40 man raids (?)

Ok so I spent a LOT of time in Vanilla in 40 man raids as a Holy Paladin…

Frankly, who the hell would want to play a HPal in Classic if it means refreshing 5 minutes blessings? Hopefully that’s gone.

I like the idea of raid buffing (a bit annoyed it’s entirely gone for my 120 HPal) but hopefully Blessings will not be on a 5 minutes timer…

(I’ll probably play Horde on Classic, but I just feel the pain for Alliance Pallies)

they will be 10 or 15 mins . cant remember which .

Thought greater blessings were 15 mins? Only normal blessings were 5 mins.

Blessings are five minutes. Greater Blessings are fifteen minutes.

Your first sentence answers your second one: apparently one person who wanted to play a holy paladin and refresh five-minute Blessings is you.

That’s Classic. If you don’t want it, stick to BFA, 'cause buff durations are not getting arbitrarily extended.

ahh ya . i thought so.

The greater blessing will be 15 those were added in patch 1.9.

  • New, 15-minute raid versions of blessings, and the ability to bless all members of a certain class with one click

  • Paladins can now learn Greater Blessings for the following spells:

    • Blessing of Might
    • Blessing of Wisdom
    • Blessing of Kings
    • Blessing of Sanctuary
    • Blessing of Salvation
  • Greater Blessings will cast the associated blessing on all raid members that share the same class as the target. For example, if you cast Greater Blessing of Might on a warrior in your raid, all warriors in the raid party will receive Blessing of Might from you. Additionally, Greater Blessings have an increased duration of 15 minutes. These blessings require twice as much mana as the single target version, as well as a reagent. Paladins can purchase these new Greater Blessing spells from their class trainers.

Good news, thanks !

There’s also Greater Blessing of Light which increases how much healing you do with Holy Light and Flash of Light.

ya that too lol

This is among the reasons the original devs literally called paladins a failed class. They and their shaman friends are often Exhibits A and B for why class tuning should be considered for the upcoming servers.

That blessing rocks though, and the difficulty with the uptime is totally worth the stress IIRC.
