The X-99 Mechano cat mount paint colour unlocks are not account wide…seriously?

Who the hell thought that was going to go down well with the playerbase?

I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I agree. Blizzard needs to step up their account wide stuff and make transmogging and coloring better. They want us to level new characters, yet the only thing we can mog is trash gear…? After we spent 100+ wipes in the mage tower? C’MON BLIZZ

I’m talking about the new kitty mount from mechagon. The one you can build from that big robot that has all the other plans you’ve collected.

Basically if you get RNG lucky enough to get 1 colour on one toon, you have to pray that you get equally lucky on all your other toons individually to have them be able to access the same colour.

I personally love that they’re not account wide. It makes the mount feel much more personal from toon to toon. On my monk I’ve only unlocked the gold one, and on my DH I have three separate colors to choose from atm (none of them gold). And in order to choose a color I have to physically go to the island and talk to the NPC to change it. We need more of this, not less. Individual character achievements should matter.

I’m torn on this one. On one hand I have 14 120’s and don’t want to feel like I have to farm all the rares and chests and the megadungeon when it comes out for all the colors on every toon to maximize how fast I do it. At the same time however, I’m lazy and I want the colors I have on my main on my other toons :stuck_out_tongue: In the end I’m okay with it not being account-wide.

The reason is simple, if you notice the colors of our mechano cats are directly identical to the colors of the Sabertron rares in Stormsong. Since they have no purple one we get no purple one :frowning:
