i have a wonderful idea my dearest blizzard devs. I got nothing but love for you all at blizzard and i want nothing but to see YOU guys succeed and deliver more fun and good times for all of us and i got a great idea for major income revenue AND a great service to us the hardcore players…
have in the “shop” a "scroll of resurrection’ or something like that and its costly…it will cost 100 real dollars and lets say for a one per character option after you buy it, say for example your fav hardcore character you been playing died and so you log into your dead character visit a graveyard and with that scroll (in your account posession) the gy healer says “the return to life is costly and will only work this one time! are you sure you want to return to this perilous life?” You click yes and he resurrects your dead character back to life.
a 2nd chance…but it will cost us…ide so totally do that and im sure others would too if its a character they really love. For example i had a 23 troll hunter i was leveling and well…i did a tough quest and died…i just really liked him…i want him back alive (on the hardcore server of course hehe) so yeah… whatcha think?
You support the game by subscribing. You ruin the game by taking away the ONE unique facet that makes hardcore what it is. It would become paidcore.
So you’d end up with six or seven whales supporting the “game,” and the rest of us would walk away from the mode previously known as hardcore. At least, on this issue, I think Blizzard is a lot smarter than the handful of whales singing dirges over their dead characters (that they really really loved but are unwilling to roll again and undertake the same journey a bit wiser and more cautious on that one tough quest.)
You don’t lose your character, when you die. You can transfer it to softcore, and keep playing. You lost NOTHING. This suggestion is bad, and not needed. It defeats the purpose of DON’T DIE.
Why would you even play on a HC server if you need some way too Rez after you die? That kills the entire point of HC, take the free transfer off, you will be much happier.
I was running around drunk in Andorhal last night questing and narrowly escaped death with 10hp because I forgot which key was the jump key. My pet died, battle chicken was down, didn’t have the cloaker equipped because of the stupid argent dawn trinket, dummy was on CD, outta grenades and watched as the 3 fire ghouls were beating my hp bar down and I thought, “Yep. Journey’s end time” and miraculously, I finally managed to jump the fence and somehow got away, surviving level 54 another day.
And you are gonna pay a hundred bucks to rez a level 23?
