Pacifist Run

I’m currently attempting a Pacifist Run of Classic to see if it’s possible. I wasn’t sure if this is something I would post here but I figured why not.
Here’s a link to the series of videos I’ll be releasing of my attempt: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQy_LSjUPquydcpvFo0Wf16rBUG7YHsy9

As in try to hit 60? I don’t think that possible. Unless you’re just trying to locate everything on the map.

Yeah, I didn’t remember hearing anybody actually succeed at such a thing until after they’d introduced earning XP for gathering.

That’s what I’ve found so far is my best bet. Additionally I’ve been doing those side quests where you just go talk to someone.

How will you do that? Will you only do non-kill quests? I can’t think of how you would get enough experience for 60.

Non-kill quests and exploration are all I can find right now. I’m not convinced I can make it to 60, but I do want to see how far I can make it.

Even if you located everything and got like ~10 levels out of it, which you more than likely wouldn’t. There isn’t enough quests at all to even make it to 15 just gathering and talking.

Well, if you have fun trying, good luck to you

I think I may be able to get to atleast 15 maybe like 18. I’ve only explored Durotar and Tirisfal and have made it to 4.

It’s impossible, no exp from gathering which is the only way you can do it in live reliably. There aren’t enough quests to get to 60 alone anyhow, and map reveal exp is minimal.

You won’t get far and its impossible, unless you wait for every single holiday quest that doesn’t require you to kill something… then you will be done in 30+ years.

Fair, I’m mostly trying to see how far it is one can get in Classic through pacifist means.

Best bet, find a few buddies and heal them to 60

This. Good luck as most quests and run and kill meatless boars and vultures.

Try to find cooking quests that don’t ask you to kill anything for items.

It’s still not possible even with discovery.

Did you get xp for handing in things for the AQ commendation in the capital cities? I dont think it was level capped so it might be possible when the AQ phase is out. Then maybe handing in ZG tokens that weren’t soulbound once you’re 60

Do you get exp from cloth turn ins?

What about darkmoon faire quests?

I’m not sure yet, I’ve just recorded some more progress of it. I’ve made it to 6 so far. I think for cloth the big issue is farming it is dependent on killing humanoids. We’ll see when darkmoon faire comes around what I can do with that though.

actually, you could do this.

most cooking quests don’t actually have quest items, just regular mob drops you could buy off of other players, so earn some money through mining/fishing/herbing, buy the required items, turn in the quest.

you still wont get much further, but it’ll get you a couple levels closer.

do the same thing as above, farm gathering professions for gold then buy what you need.

i’m digging this, I wonder how far you’ll be able to get, around 30 is my guess.

EDIT: slight flaw, how do you get the money to first pick up mining/herbing? get lucky and find a chest perhaps? farm the food/water crates that spawn in cities?

You can’t. I extensively researched and attempted this in TBC, and the furthest I was able to get was about level 23 (alliance) before I ran out of quests and exploration xp.

You won’t get this far because you don’t have access to the Draenei starting quests that fit this playstyle.

Horde has even fewer options.
