I made a long thread that when I clicked "create topic" it got lost to the ether. So this one will be short.
Sharing sub fees with retail has ramifications such as potentially causing it to be easier to make gold on classic by farming it on retail. Or it might be easier to farm gold for retail by farming it on Classic. Most of this is due to the Game Token.
Solution:
Limit game token to Retail. As in you have 20 days of sub left because you paid money for it. You buy a token on retail. Now you have 20 days of classic and 50 days of retail left.
How in the world does sharing a sub fee change anything?
You can't buy wow tokens on classic realms as far as I can see.

Tokens are used to buy bnet balance. And a "WoW sub" covers both WoWs. So it is literally impossible to do what you are asking.
