P2 - Paladin Rune: Path of Arthas, A out of season April Fools Joke?

5% white swing damage only for a 50% reduction on all healing, what an absolute joke, who in their right mind would ever take that rune, I thought runes were meant to be a good thing not a nerf to your class.

I would take that rune in a heart beat for pve.

Crusader strike Physical not holy
Divine storm Physical not holy
Auto attack Physical not holy

Judgment - holy damage
SoC procs - holy damage
Exercism - Holy damage

Sanctuary aura will only effect holy damage, and if this rune is real it will effect the other half of abilities that sanctuary aura doesn’t.

Also with the crazy healing healimg classes are doing ret should never have to off heal.

For pvp it would be dumb to take this.

Everyone has an opinion about what ruined each iteration of World of Warcraft. The real enemy is people digging into data files and creating a min max culture/meta build mentality and releasing the videos way early. Now it’s all just arguments and streamer speculation and it takes away the….what’s the word I’m looking for here……DISCOVERY?

Sanctity aura was such dog water it’s embarrassing.

For a class that’s supposed to bring we utility we virtually bring none.

Put on the dress and cast blessing of salvation.

If we’re going to get some corrupted things from arthas/dk just give us death grip, not this garbage lol

Question: Why is this suddenly news again? Path of Arthas was one of the first datamined runes before SoD even launched, let alone for phase 2

As a warrior who loves the idea of using a two hander I would like for the Cataclysm version of 'Taste for Blood" to be in. This rune would give every tick of rend a chance to proc Overpower. This would go a long way to making 2H warriors competitive in pve.

Some DK flavour would have been way more interesting, it was implied within the first round of runes with the rune quest for Seal of Martyrdom, and you fighting that paladin who is becoming a deathknight.

Deathgrip would be a great gap closer considering paladins are one of the least mobile classes in the game.

what if they did something off the wall crazy such as converting the class, probably to much work id guess, but an idea could be:

Path of Arthas
Your connection to the Light has been damaged as you follow the path of the damned. All Holy Damage Dealt is now shadow damage, your Healing spells now act as offensive shadow school spells with spells such as Flash of Light transformed into Flash of Pain and Holy Light being transformed into Light’s End, Judgement of Light now becomes Judgement of Agony shadow dealing damage over time.

Blah blah buff paladin in every aspect. Saying Anything else is just ignorant ramblings of sad emofembois.

Buff paladin damage by 100%
Buff healing by 100%
Give paladin in combat charge on 1 second cooldown.
Make bubble last for 1 hour with 5 min cooldown.
Give paladin 5 more /dance and /train variations.
