"Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam games you couldn't get into

I’d say your attitude was less welcome than a gamer thread about games, right?

You’re just being petty, and for what?

Also weekends are open season, not much moderation, so it get’s a little off topic at times.

I still can never understand why people take the forums so seriously, and post their displeasure about one topic out of the hundreds they could scroll down and click on.

The Forest.

I really tried to get into it but it just got boring in the end.

Witcher 3.

I don’t hate the game. Just never got into it. But I want to give it another try before Witcher 4 releases. Though I expect I have until 26 if not 27, to get that done.

Idk its rating but EA starwars battlefront 2.

i got it for. Like 5 bucks on sale and didnt like the controls

Went back to Pandemics Bf2 which is just superior. Just get into vehicles of you want etc

Love that game

Baldur’s Gate 3. I get the hype, I just couldn’t get into the game. ARpgs just aren’t my thing.

Cutscenes are fun to watch on YouTube though.

Heaven forbid we discuss anything other than how crappy World of Warcraft is to play right now.

Whenever I see “souls-like” now I shudder a little.

This is generally the case. When people were calling it or space marine 2 GOTY, I was very confused.

They were solid games, but calling them GOTY showed people didn’t play many other games.

For me, any rogue likes/lites. They seem to get overwhelming positives pretty easy, but all I see are games that justify having only a few hours of unique content. Not my cup of tea.

I keep my Steam library small, because I’ve seen what others’ looks like lol, like 90% of the games in folks’ libraries going untouched.

I make it a point to only buy games I know I’m going to sink several hours into.

Honestly, the game I don’t have nearly as much time as I should, is Elden Ring.

Mostly just got it because it was on sale, and thought the game was indeed worth the hype, even if it isn’t my cup of tea.

Deep Rock Galactic is probably my most-played Steam game at this point, and whenever Monster Hunter Wilds comes out, that’ll easily be up there too.

I feel seen!

I also feel very, very ashamed.

Two of my best friends, always are buying games on sale.

And yet whenever they’re online, it’s always the same games being played lol.

I know it’s a trend among Steam-users lol, there was a post on the gaming Reddit recently about how most games Steam users play aren’t even from 2024.

Marvel Rivals is probably the biggest Steam game this year, I think.

You expected more from a rigatoni thread?

I feel like MOST Overwhelmingly Positive games are games I wouldn’t enjoy.
Because fans of a genre liking the game isn’t going to magically make me like the genre?
Seems obvious.

I mean, most games end up with a shelf life of a couple weeks to a couple months, then people fall back to their usuals.

If WoW was on Steam we’d be doing the same thing.

A man of quality

I’m so hyped for more monster hunter

For some reason I just cannot get into Bioware RPGs, did not help that when it hit that the first dragon age and mass effect games had the same structure to their stories

Oh sure, China definitely propelled its popularity to new heights, but there were people here in the United States completely floored that it didn’t win GOTY. Those people clearly don’t play a lot of games because nobody could reasonably argue that Wukong was better than any other game up for GOTY.
