Overpopulated servers ruined 20th Anniversary

I don’t like mega servers n layering, but I don’t think that’s your problem here. The mega server is just amplifying your actual problem. Your problem is more of:

Anyone that tags a mob you wanted to tag has to be a bot. Anyone that mines the node you wanted to mine has to be a bot. Guess what’s the person gathered the herb you wanted to gather ? A bot.

In short, there must be something wrong with anyone or anything that gets better of you. Cuz you are perfect n this whole thing is n should be built around you. That’s a typical gen-z view of the world.

I doubt I’ll get to keep my Wrath either after your BC; but we’ll see, and here’s why…

Arena.

Once we get our max Brutal/Wrathful gear, they know that a lot of us wouldn’t do arena ever again.

They’re going to recycle the expacs so we have to regrind the seasons each time.

The company is hung up with arena and its affinity to E-sports.

Let me ask you this. If they’re not going to end at an Era at some point…what happens to these characters? They get merged over to the Progression servers that’ll be on MoP or even WoD when the Anniversary Realms are on Wrath?

You see what I mean? At some point there is an End. So if not an Era, then what?

I’m not sure I follow.

<----- This portrait here is already a lost character on a client I’ll never download again.

Are you saying we likely will get TBC and Wrath era?

I think I see what you’re saying so let me add a comment…

I believe we won’t go past Wrath again and they’ll just recycle this fresh trilogy, with all characters erased.
They’re going to officially notify us about this sometime around the end of TBC and middle of Wrath…

^^^^ This is what I believe they have up their sleeve.

You’re saying they won’t do an Era. So how do these servers end?

they’ll just do a progression a couple expacs behind the current one :expressionless:

Good possibility.

Why not just preserve a Cata server as an era while it’s available?

They’re not providing us with servers as different options for us to play. They give and take them away as a means of promoting their hype-trains and cash grabs.

That would be weird, especially since these ones are progressing faster. But I can see the potential since they can resell Deluxe Editions and boosts for each expansion.

I think it’ll stop at Wrath and that’ll be the Era.

And would you redo the fresh trilogy again? That’s the real question.

Me personally? No. I will never play on a Megaserver.

But I could see Blizz doing the trilogy cycle again, and then transferring to the Wrath Era servers. Rinse and repeat.

I’d like to say no but…

Here I am playing vanilla again after I said I wouldn’t after Wrath.

What I am sure of is, I’ll never play anything after Wrath. The trilogy is enough for me.

Classic Era is great if you don’t want to play TBC + but Era also has its own issues.

I started on Anniversary and rerolled on Era because I did not want to progress to TBC. My chars from 2019 have been whisked away to Cata and so yeah, starting over. YAY.

Anyway…

If you’re new to Era you can expect difficulty in finding [Alliance] groups (except for Deadmines and Stocks) It feels like people stop grouping for dungeons after that.

(BOOSTING IS AN ISSUE AND PEOPLE NEED TO STOP DOING THAT ON AN ALREADY DEAD REALM FOR LEVELING/GETTING GROUPS. I SAID WHAT I SAID!)

*I don’t play Horde, but supposedly there are less Horde on Mankrik than Alliance so I can assume their experience is the same or worse

The AH prices are insane if you’re new. I think people believe that every play is already established on the realm and has thousands of gold to spend. For example, 64g for a stack of Major Mana Pots. No new player can afford that. And that is just one example.

Playing on Era is not new player friendly, especially if you play at night. (deader than dead)

People on Anniversary probably enjoy being able to find groups and do whatever at any given time of the day.

Same. I dabbled with a few things in Cataclysm and I use that term very lightly. My army of 80s still reside in Dalaran but I did roll a new character just to see what questing was like in the new zones. Hated it. This character is 84 only by virtue of continuing to do Northrend dailies. For what reason I have no idea.

The one thing, the only thing, about Cataclysm that had even the slightest appeal to me was transmogrification and that’s only because as someone who has an obsessive (I have very pronounced obsessive-compulsive tendencies) interest in collecting things, transmogrification is both the cause of and the scratch for that itch.

Aside from that? Hard pass on anything beyond WotLK.

The perfect business, lazyness and 0 love for the player base. The bot situation is blizzard being greedy and corrupt 100%

True and false at the same time; let me explain. The way allies level is a little different than horde on Era. Allies seem to group up for a few big leveling pushes a year instead of a more individualistic approach to leveling. While there are levelers out there all year around, its as you say right now hard to get groups past Stocks, but not impossible.

At the present moment the last group of levelers are just now 60, am at the moment behind the wave but leveling at a decent clip because the world is virtually wide open excluding my skirmishes with the horde.

So far the only dungeon I have not really had the ability to do as much as I would have liked was Scarlet Monistary and Gnomergon; but I have done BFD 2X, SFK 3x, Deadmines and Stocks a few times, and Uldaman as well as Razorfen Downs 1x each.

So far my warrior’s luck on drops has been really good; thus far this has been the easiest leveling push I have ever done. I honestly don’t remember warrior ever being so good, I remember it being worse, but this could be due to the fact that as if by freaking magic my warrior plays like he’s got heaps of crit when I only have 12% crit (this includes the talents) Maybe they secret buffed the class??? I remember Warrior leveling being way different back in the day and I played warrior a lot until end of Legion; so its not as if I am not familiar with the class.

Tho I am 100% on agreement of your complaints about boosting; it does zero positive for the community and kinda enables some bad behavior; tho I don’t see a whole lot of bots on Era since the players here don’t appear to be buying gold.

on mankrik i see people in all sorts of leveling dungeons :expressionless: it’s a great community here. i think whitemane is more end game raiding focused and has a lot fewer levelers in general.

also for this i have some advice, pick 2 gathering professions :expressionless: forget about crafting ones. just get rich selling mats

Both of my chars are in the 40’s range and every step of the way besides Deadmines I had issues getting groups. One day my friend (tank) and I (priest) just 2 manned Stocks 'cause we couldn’t even find DPS.

The trying-to-dungeon experience has been far less than stellar in my experiences on both chars.

Like I said, it’s more rough for night time players (like myself)

I’ve even questioned if people are getting groups moreso in the mornings and afternoons 'cause any time after 5pm has been a gross experience.

The mages who are boosting are not helping the situation and I feel like that needs to be banned.

If you don’t like it quit.

That is the only thing Blizzard will understand. You posting here has zero influence on anything.

They barely read anything here.

you are in game watching the bots?
