Overly sensitive people

I dunno, you seem nice. It shouldn’t be hard to refrain from posting things that somebody could find offensive. Being an adult also means knowing what is appropriate and what’s not lol.

being overly sensitive about the other people still being oversensitive.

If you think this is sensitive you should check out FF14. I swear everyone over there has anxiety or some BS excuse they hide behind.

This thread is pointless. I think everyone needs to toughen up while being respectful.

(looking at karen/tom videos of adults acting like spoiled 10 year olds)

You know there is a whole community of people whose moto is to act like kids while being even over 40.

Some hotels charge top dollar to people to stay and be treated like kids, infants toddlers, whatever.

If half of the people in their bubble of “normalized truth” were to see what happens actually in this World, they would find out that what they think is crazy, is actually pretty sane compared to what real crazy looks like.

You don’t need protected speech for speech you want to hear, you protect speech people don’t want to hear.

It’s not really an argument. Nice try.

Actually, being prosecuted for what you say is not against freedom of speech. You are free to say, but you are responsible for what you say, and bear the consequences of saying. Still up to you to say, and you are free to do so.

Depends. The government isn’t allowed to prosecute or make a law to abridge speech. People/companies are allowed to do as they please.

My original statement still stands.

You only protect speech that people do not want to hear.

You are talking about A SPECIFIC government.

And dont give me that “oh but this is in this or that country”, because we all know, they can make laws stating that “if you do this you banned from my country”. And we also know games and other things take it very seriously. You dont want to lose a market just for saying a couple words.

We going to split hairs here?

Blizzard is a US company, that does most of its business in the US. Should I start making adendums for other countries so not to offend?

WRONG. It has most of its playerbase in the “rest of the world”.

blizzard and all other game houses are making changes to accommodate international guidelines of cultural identity since decades now. No one would be starting it.

I generally like the devils advocate game.

What you are doing is borderline absurd. The freedoms we are granted in the United States are just that. I am not worried about how they feel in China or Russia.

If you do care, more power to ya.

Responses in this thread prove that the OP getting an open space doesn’t work out if people aren’t mature enough to be respectful adults.

The issue stems from people being unable to handle different opinions or thoughts in a responsible manner.

Funny how “adults” are always sensitive to consequences for their actions.

Yeah.

Dont commit the act your want not to be stereotyped for.

World of Warcraft, and more so Blizzard in general, is known and well established to be respectful of the constraints of operating internationally.

And you are wrong about what you THINK this is like.

To operate in a given European country, or in China, or in Australia, or in South America, Blizzard need a company that is local and local owned to run its business, and must abide to local laws. Once they violate any law or are found in any conflict with local companies, that company might be liable, even closed, resulting in Blizzard being unable to offer payment options, or even have their servers elsewhere able to connect there.

That is why they have a special care about many things that the “oh so star spangled awesome US” lets they people do but other do not.
