I’ve been able to get Overload Elemental Deposit to work once since I’ve gotten it. You walk up to a primal node, hit the button, and nothing happens. I mine the node and there are no little extra rocks etc. 4 out of 5 times it’s given me nothing extra.

Primal node overload gives you four buffs, you should be getting these buffs when using the overload on a primal node.
You can further check your mining spellbook in the ores search for primal draconium or serevite to read what the overload does.
Primal - Gives you four buffs.
Molten - Summons a fire elemental you kill for bonus materials.
Hardened - Overload will cause 3-4 fragments to crack off which you can mine as well.
Titan - Summons a portal that will take you to the next closest mining node.

Mine is bugged out.
I used it on a primal deposit and now the Cooldown is set to 50 days.
I have mined 212 nodes and there has been no change in the cooldown.
