What can we do with the overflow of pet type specific battle stones we may have? I have multiple mechanical battle stones but all of my mechanical pets are level 25 so I have no use for these. Is there any NPC that will convert these to a different type pet stone like beast or flying? TIA!

There numerous pet battle vendors who will exchange 3 of the same type-specific battle stones for one generic one.
This list should be sorted by “price” such that vendors accepting battle stones are at the top of the list.
As I recall, only Audrey Burnhep and Varzok exchange Family Blue Stones for General Blue Stones now, and there is no exchange for Family Yellow Stones.

I assume you’re referring to leveling stones, since you mentioned that all your mechanical pets are 25th level.
However, I see that you have 1207 unique pets, which is definitely respectable. But the point I’m making is that there are still mechanical pets out there that you haven’t acquired. Some are rather easy to get, such as Alarm-O-Dog. And at 70th level, getting a H4ND-EE, Alloyed Alleyrat, Copper Hopper or a Clanking Scrapsorter will be a walk in the park for you. Just solo Operation: Mechagon.
At 1207 pets, you almost certainly have every pet you need to do the pet dungeons. Experiment 13 is another pet you could add to your collection. Or Foe Reaper.
The most conspicuous missing mechanical pet I see in your collection is Microbot XD. He’s got a massively powerful 1-2 punch that you will find very helpful.
I don’t mean to be dismissive, but the regulars here all have a ton of family specific leveling stones in our banks. And we keep right on hoarding them. And if you’re of a mind to use yours rather than save them, my hat’s off to you. I have a ton of pets I could easily level with a trip to the bank. But somehow, I still look for opportunities to level the old-fashioned way.
The best suggestion I can offer you is to save them, like we all do here. There are still mechanical pets out there to add to your collection. And there will be more in the future.

There isn’t afaik, for the leveling stones. I usually just end up throwing them at dupes to get rid of them. While I do think Family-Specific leveling/rare stones is a cute idea, it falls flat when someone ends up with tons they can’t use. Honestly, they just need to switch to all Flawless for the leveling, and only have the general blue ones drop.
A big annoyance with the family-specific stones is that there’s huge difference in pet family counts. Warcraft pets says currently 98 Mechanical pets and 106 Undead, but 326 Beast and 269 Flying. While it seems I get useless ones way more often than usable, could just be observational bias, where you remember the bad drops more than the good ones.
Whatever, I have a bunch of stones in the bank that haven’t been used in months.
