The overcharged defensive unit mobs aggro from different levels than the player and train tons of mobs across the delve to reach the player. This aggro range seems much farther than the usual delve mob aggro radius.
Two can play at that game it turns out.
Pouncelot, kill!
yeah i lowered my level by 2 to finish the delve. however - i didnt get any chett cards?
There’s that upper area next to the long walkway on the left that always likes to pull. I think the zappy in the belt arced up there in my run, but it could also be I just got too close to the edge. Tank handled it just fine.
Yeah…gotta be careful in there and not just 1-Button mash. Tried it on a console with auto-targeting…bad idea…very bad idea…
Had this same issue. Mobs from upper and lower levels aggroing even when I have not been on those floors or anywhere near the mobs.
Part of what makes the aggro issues more pronounced is that you’ll have mobs closer to the edges of platforms and this allows them to LOS more easily.
Which can actually be to your advantage since it means you can clear the delve much faster.
Agreed. I had tank brann pulling random aggro and running off out of los.
Oh, it’s not just me.
Yeah, I’m getting that too. Or the mystery aggro that doesn’t go away even after literally everything is dead. I keep missing the chance to use the Delver’s map because I can’t leave combat. Of course, there’s also just Brann aggroing entire floors for no reason.
Yeah I seem to be frequently stuck in combat in the overcharged delves after everything is dead, including those totem/pole things.
I just got done with this one on the gold shaman story. Felt like I did the dungeon in 3 big pulls.
That delve has always been a little iffy, but it does feel worse now.
Yeah, that happened to me yesterday on an alt (mage) I don’t play often. It was a bit of a challenge, though I thought it was kinda fun.
I just tried to start this TWICE, and had to leave when Brann would NOT stop aggroing more and more mobs. He ran up the ladder past the first platform and down the second platform to pull about 6 elite mobs. Did not come back to ME until half the delve was trailing behind him.
You mean the rods and crystals that fairly often decides to agro from 2 floors down, around corners and trough walls. I just want that curio! But nooooo! Rod 2 rooms over disagrees!
I had to stop going on my spriest to Sidestreet, my spells pulling way too many mobs. I’m just starting to play that alt decently and didn’t need the aggravation. Went to Spiral Weave and did fine.
Good thing is if you just need the quest items to upgrade the belt, can just farm a few and leave, and go to the other OC delve.
When it works it can be interesting and help clear the delve fast.
But then you get the set up I got this morning in Sidetreet where EVERY time just walking into the first teleporter, half the instance would aggo AND at least one mob (always a heavy melee mob like unmasked brute or whatever) would be hitting my character from under the floor or in some other location where it was impossible to hit them.
It’s just abundantly clear this was not thoroughly tested.
I always thought it was because Brann was an idiot.
This is actually desirable when I run delves; it means I don’t have to stop and fight every couple of seconds to deal with a pack of adds and can instead funnel murder them in bulk.
Only down side is that I get locked into combat until I can kill all the tesla coils.
