Over the Water in Hallowfall

Does anyone think we are going to ever get to find out what’s on the other side of the water in Hallowfall? Or will they just abandon that and not return to it? Gotta wonder how they tie it in. Really hoping it’s not some dumb one-timer pass through at the end of the expansion, would be disappointing.

You mean far out where you get fatigue?

Id love some sea monsters tied to the fish people but im not holding my breath as after goblin raid we are in the last raid for xpac so will be all set up

I was hoping we’d end up inverted on the ceiling to go putz around near the crystal. Because it looked so similar to Oshu’gun. But when they turned it into an Azeroth wart… I gave up on that bit of creativity.

It’s either where we’re going in 11.2 or it’s being left a mystery.

The Coreway is supposed to go down to the World Soul, but it really doesn’t even go that far. So 11.2 is further down the Coreway or across the undersea. Guess we’ll find out in about 4 months when the 11.2 PTR comes.

All I know is hovering over the sea is an 80 elite known simply as ‘The Guardian’. It’s way out of the way and impossible to properly engage as it’s flying real, real high.

I’m just going to assume whatever is on the other side of the water is probably a bit spooky, going by that thing alone.

(Or maybe they really wanted a Baldur’s Gate 3 reference, hard telling)

I honestly think the cartels are gonna do something really stupid and accidentally dislodge the crystal, dropping it into the Undersea.

Could be just a massive under the earth featureless sea with nothing to note

Reminds me of that place the Balrog fell in lotr

:ocean: :crab: :ocean: :crab:

On the other side is AbhorRise.

It goes down pretty far. We get into Ringing Deeps through a maintenance tunnel. The large part of the Coreway is still blocked.

It’s a cave. The other side of the water is just the wall of the cavern as likely as not.

It’s probably even more cave lol.

But, it’d be interesting if we got some kind of Nazjatar-ish zone adjacent.

Those Kobyss, had to have come from somewhere.

They weren’t always active in Hallowfall.

Something down there stirred them up.

Basically a void-y fish zone, maybe where N’zoth was chilling for a bit or something. His old digs, who knows?

If we never got to see Nazj’s deep monsters past the wall of water, or an actual cinematic of the whole place being submerged again?
I doubt they will expand that area.

If it doesn’t serve the “Worldsoul Saga” story, it won’t happen.

Surfcaster new POE ascendancy?

11.2 boat league confirmed.

Nah there’s tons of horrors In The sea too.

Two noticable examples are a drowned fish that you rescue in shallow water, it whispers into your mind and asks you to help it. When you take it to deep waters a giant leviathan shows up to take it home to the deep, and it whispers something like “Thank you for saving me. I hope for your sake that our paths never cross again.”

And near the ship wreck there’s also a void shadow creature that looks like Beledar. You can talk to it and your only dialogue is “What are you?”. If you select it it will whisper back “what are you?” And turn into a shadow version of yourself and start following you ominously.

That sea is definitely nothing good.

They didn’t want to make the zone underwater because people threw a hissy fit about Vash’jr even though it was an amazing and unique zone, and now we’ll never get a proper underwater zone ever again.

God the vibes in that zone were incredible.

I’ll never forgive the people that cried over Vashj’ir.

Good zone ideas, thrown out because people can’t handle a little bit of low-gravity.

We’ll never get something like that, ever again.

Exactly. And the idea of a zone that USED to be underwater but was made dry by the Queen as a show of power is a cool and unique concept not done in gaming a lot.

But I still want another underwater zone or at least a version of Nazjatar that IS underwater.

The “vibes” of that zone are good now. After the fact.
Vash’jr was a great leap of faith to test new technology at the time, but it is objectively a horrible zone by all accounts. Especially because they cancelled half of the content that was supposed to take place there, making it even more empty and desolate.

However, that’s beside the point.

What I meant with Nazj was that, technically speaking, the present cannon is supposed to be that Nazj got submerged again, since Azshara is not in possession of the Tidestone and is also not there to maintain the magic that held the water.

Yes but we unfortunately never get to see the aftermath of zones being restored or saved.

Silvermoon has been in ruins for 20 years but in lore has been fixed for a while, we’re only just now going to see that repaired in Midnight.

The exodar is still crashed into pieces, the barrens are still split in half, Lordaeron is still plagued, The Vale of Eternal Blossoms was covered in Sha Juice and is now just covered in void stuff.

My issue with blizzard destroying zones is they never repair them. Zones will always forever be locked in time to their expansion, except on the weird cases where they aren’t, like Dark shore and Arathi highlands now being locked to BFA.

Agreed.

Wasted the phasing technology to be honest. Could have been part of Chromie time and a whole other set of things that kept the leveling experience fresh.

Sadly, the company has moved away from that, basically forever. Honestly I am surprised we still “level” our characters in retail at this point. They have completely taken a torch to the entire leveling experience by refusing to address the major scaling issues the game has due to its dependence to the “stat squishes”.

EDIT: Sorry, don’t mean to completely derail the thread.

Yes, i’d be cool to see the rest of Hallowfall’s map. lol
