Hey guys, my gear is currently a bit of a stat mess and I’m trying to fix it.
Unfortunately a majority of the 200ilvl gear I’ve gotten my hands on has Mastery as its main stat which I know is a borderline troll stat on Outlaw, I’m currently working on replacing it though.
I just don’t know what I should be trying to stack, though. Crit/Haste? Crit/Vers?
Mastery is actually turning out to be pretty good and perhaps will offer the best scaling as the ilvl keeps increasing.
cant go wrong with a blend of versatility haste (alacrity) and mastery. Crit can be provided by between the eyes and roll the bones buffs so you shouldnt really be on the lookout for crit unless you want a specific crit threshold to mix into other prioritized stats
Really? I thought because you couldn’t proc main gauche from the mastery off-hand strike that it wasn’t considered great.
You want about 14% or so haste then full Crit/Vers for Single Target, for M+ and Cleave you can have less haste and more Crit/Vers.
Now that isn’t a strict haste cap it’s just generally where it starts to fall off the stat priority to 3rd place behind Crit and Vers.
Ignore everyone but Spatulahands on this.
The people talking about mastery don’t know what they are talking about.
Haste>vers>crit>mastery
Vers is always summing best for me, and mastery always sims terrible.
So focus verse haste and crit and then keep simming your gear.
To put it another way, when I sim for sockets, and enchants, at my stat weights, verse and crit are what comes up.
Aside from Spatulahands, Wyld, or myself I would ignore everyone else’s advice in this thread because it is 100% wrong.
Mastery is the lowest stat is pretty much every metric and sim possible. Avoid it. After you hit the soft spot for haste as mentioned above, I would recommend vers as it usually sims better that crit, and its more useful baseline as it helps you take less damage which helps on fights like H Sire. Honestly as long as you stay away from mastery you are fine.
Pure Mastery. Nothing else. Just to annoy snozy.

It’s the proper form in the way I used it. And yes stacking mastery is false information considering mastery is outlaws worse stat.
