I see huge variations in outlaw rogue builds where it’s either haste/verse or crit/verse. Which is best?
Haste is safe for any build since outlaw innately can self buff to 40% crit chance via between the eyes and ruthless precision.
You also need haste to support dreadblades as its really taxing on energy to spam finishers. prob ~18% to comfortably use 5 finishers
If you wanna go crit you’re almost forced to play alacrity but you have really big Between the Eyes into crit big pistol shots.
Think of crit making between the eyes worthwhile to press since non crit BTE does paltry damage and decide from there

so crit i assume is to make wickers better and haste is just to make outlaw feel better overall?
You can play haste with Wickers, just playing outlaw overall feels better with haste.
Outlaw doesn’t really have banging goes like sub or sin, even with venthyr its a strong go but its really just “big sustain” if that makes sense. Its bursty for outlaw but strung along over 5 finishers as venthyr.
As Necro alacrity generally works consistently but you can dreadblade if you save up bonespike charges
You can play crit but you’ll run into energy droughts and the spec doesn’t necesarrily have a burst profile

Outlaw is known for its hefty sustain not necessarily its burst and you get a lot of crit just from roll the bones and between the eyes
