So I’ve read some of the post and the comments from them.
Outlaw does have the toolkit to be successful in pvp without taking a lot of effort on the Dev’s part. The easiest way would be to simply make abilities do more damage and crimson vial heal better in pvp and buff our armor 50%.
Outlaw should have the same armor rating as a mail wearer.
what they should have done is to take away the crit buff / damage from between the eyes and kept it a ranged stun. RTB should always give a grand melee buff and 1,3,5 other buffs while being on a cd with an energy cost(like new version). Wound poison should apply the same healing debuff across the board with assassination receiving a damage increase. Iron stomach should also lower vial’s cd.
I don’t find mobility to be to much of a factor, although a ranged kick interrupt would be nice since outlaw can’t shadow step kick.
and honestly pistol shot should be an execute hit with free proccs

they should gut outlaw all the way back to combat and start from there. roll the bones is stupid, the crit buff finisher is stupid.
killing spree shold be baseline and talents built around that to make it scary.
Outlaw PVP died when Outlaw lost its ranged stun. You have no gap closer other than grappling hook, which is terrible as a gap closer.

In order for outlaw to become pvp viable it has to not be outlaw.
WHY? simple changes, I only play outlaw, since 2008. why would simple changes mean it would have to change? I offered reasonable changes.

One they would require a complete rework of the class
Two it would destroy outlaw in mythic plus.
Three. Outlaw will never be a good pvp spec till rtb is removed.
Four. None of your suggestions actually fix the issues outlaw has with pvp.

[/quote]? It’s literally a ranged kidney shot with no damage modifiers(talent options maybe?), how would that not work, when it worked just fine before with the damage buffs?
that is pretty much baking slice n dice into roll the bones. if grand melee’s leech is the problem, remove it or break it into smaller % and leave it(would help survivability). what’s wrong with baking SnD into RTB?
why can’t outlaw apply a competitive healing debuff? I added assassination’s increase in damage to make their poison master’s concept work.
there is no reason it can’t lower the cd or the cost or remove it from the gbc(pick one). would give the talent consideration.
I think with a ranged stun, a ranged kick might be a bit much, but I use to love my ranged deadly throw interrupt.
I stand by that. would give more on burst demand. I just wish outlaw had more on demand burst and that could work.

well I laid out what needs to happen to give outlaw a viable pvp kit in the future and possibly in a patch this xpac. but I also laid out a very simple “solution” for now.
none of those things would really take much. they can turn that nob a little higher in the pvp section.
none of those changes would hurt outlaw’s mythic performance at all. that’s hyperbole.

Don’t worry OP I completely wish blizzard wouldn’t just go “you’ve got the other two to play” and give outlaw a few buffs for PvP, they don’t have to make them meta but it would be nice if they throw a bone to those people who want to try to make the spec work a bone

You just killed outlaws single target damage nerfing it in Raiding and Mythic Plus.
RTB is a terrible ability. Outlaw has zero burst CD and RTB is terrible for PvP.

If you think Hook is the same mobility as step you have never been above 2k. Ranged stun isnt coming back.
Its not going to come from pistol shot. Outlaw lacks a burst CD.
Rogues wear leather armor not mail. If you want Mail armor go play a shaman or hunter.
You laid out a bunch of changes that if even implemented outlaw would still be bad. It would still lack a burst CD, mobility, and control.

agreed! I hate RTB. I would much rather have a symbols of death. flat damage increase. BUT SINCE BLIZZARD wants to keep the RTB(the cd is much better, but still to much variance), I proposed baking Snd into RTB as always grand melee(with or without leech). which would help the spec way more than hurt it, both in pvp and pve.
all healing debuffs should be the same through all specs. no reason for them not to be.
I never one time said that hook was the same mobility as step. not once. I have been over 2k, but that’s not important to the discussion. ranged stun should come back with no damage modifiers, you know since hook isn’t as much mobility as step.
I agree outlaw does need a burst cd, I think a heavy hitting execute with slightly smaller hitting free pistol shots could fill that lack of a burst cd.

I literally laid out ideas for burst, mobility, and control. that would be an excellent pvp toolkit, comparable to sub’s.
it is hyperbole, because that damage can be adjusted in a different way, which renders your argument hyperbole.

I offered burst, mobility, control, and honestly quality of life improvements to the outlaw spec. if you want to say nothing of actual importance or offer suggestions on how to “fix” outlaw, I kindly request you offer constructive criticism/ advice or try to troll a different thread.

Outlaw is an ugly red head of a spec that’s real only saving grace is blade flurry
They haven’t really developed the spec and was more than likely better off in its BFA form even despite slice and dice being a huge boon to the spec overall
The spec needs to be bought back in line with the core rogue specs and to have some horrible mechanics burn off like the warts that they are and have a developer with a clue take pvp into mind when they rework it which they won’t
They just need to undo PVP damage nerfs they put in place at the start of BFA. Not rocket science.
There is no way to “fix” outlaw without completely redesigning the spec.
Poor damage
No burst cd
Poor mobility
Poor control
Your changes fix none of that.
If Outlaw Rogue had shadowstep it would be OP.
Fix the damage and it would be 100% fine in PVP that is what higher rated PVP players have told me so I trust them!
