I mean I have sets for both (unfortunately) just not the weapons. I do enjoy both aspects of the game, I really wanted to just stick to one spec and dedicate myself to it. But Outlaw PvP is a tad unforgiving and I do want to push rating.
Outlaw is way more fun for 1v1, world pvp and BG’s. Much harder in Arena though compared to Sin. We just do less damage and our marginally better control (compared to Sin) doesn’t make up for it at the moment. If you want control you may as well go Sub.
I get 320k BtE crits on that damn Coin Operated Pummler if I use deeper strategem. That’s always fun. Not a number you get to see very often as an outlaw rogue. I don’t pvp, but isn’t it half the crit effect for pvp? If the target had a “takes more damage” sort of debuff akin to whatever that pummler boss gets, I could comceivably see a 160k crit.
Physical damage vs unmitigated magic damage and the highest burst in the game seems to support Sin for PvP. But, play what you enjoy. Many folks have made OL work fine. You have a ton of control with it.
I’m having a blast with Outlaw so far.(Really just started to -really- play it.) It’s so flashy and engaging in PvE.
I tried my hand at a few BGs and it doesn’t seem like we are meant to go at it alone and 1v1 others in PvP. We seem to offer great control and lots of stuns to enable others to burn the target down though. Fun if you have a reliable DPS partner.
crit an orb carrier for sure if that was pvp dmg.
outlaw in pvp is an uphill climb. outlaw in arena is like trying to jump to the moon with just your legs. if you want the ultimate pvp challenge there are only a few specs this bad and outlaw is one of them. without curse of the dreadblades we definitely need a dmg buff. compared to every match up in arena we just cant keep up. any melee or ranged will mongo your teammate down befor you can return the favor unless you roll 6’s out the gate.
they could buff our 6 rolls and make them more frequent or maybe make a pvp talent that allowed 3 rolls in the mix and do a little tinkering so those 3 rolls replace some of those buried treasure rolls youll see the majority of your time on outlaw island… that would be welcomed as far as im concerned. they could just delete the nerf on deadshot traits with the current health pools I think we could handle it. but instead of that blizz rather bleed subscription with just plain bad class designs and balance. why nerf outlaw when ret wheelchairs are doing 20k dps warlocks 30k dk 15k-30k dh 15k-20k. like on average outlaw does 9k-11k. disc priest do more dmg.
long story short, PLAY ASSA TIL THEY NERF IT. those other 2 specs may as well go sit in a corner and eat bugs.
