Outlands are better than max lvl vanilla zones

Something I’ve realized lately. I always thought it was a mistake to leave Azeroth and it probably still was. But as I’ve been lvling in the max lvl zones recently, I’ve noticed that they’re not as good as Outlands. This realization makes me more excited for BC and I think BC might be my preferred era of wow. Azeroth as a whole is better than Outlands but Outlands are better than the max lvl zones of Azeroth. Also BC gives you the added bonus of lvling content still being very relevant to your toon all the way through.

Vanilla was made in mind of Mob grinding. When TBC came out this notion mainly went out the window at that point. Which is why the questing experience is more solidified.

That there is no “s” in Outland?

Yea, thats true. I do love the rush of doing a crap ton of quests and turning them all in at once.

Too bad no one will be questing in Outlands. Mages will all go solo grind/boost slavepins cause Blizzard doesn’t care, and the sweats will all run 5 mans for 30 hours.

It takes many years…and Sargeras to drive a sword in it to make silithus interesting lol.

Kill zombies, or kill bugs. choose your fate adventurer. Outland while not grand upgrades lets you pick. Freaky corrupt land on the way to some mechanar trio spam runs, demon fel messed up land, normal mountain ranges or nice hikes by nagrand/shattrath.

When you understand Vanilla was meant to conitnue beyond its state it makes more sense. That being said, I do find Silithus interesting during its intended time period (specifically AQ event and the relevance of the Bug Hives and Bug Lore), and WPL/EPL are lore interesting too, though I find my favourite parts being the farms and Tyr’s Hand.

For me, the exact reason you like outland as above is why I dislike it, the cohesion feels disjointed. Which makes sense for an explodey planet, but I feel like there are 3 continents: Hf, Zangar, Shadowmoon is 1, Terrokar, Nagrand is 2, Blade’s Edge and Netherstorm are 3, and you could even go as far as to seperant BE and Netherstorm. It’s not my personal vibe.

I’ve typed and deleted this a few times and realized it’s going to be about percentages for me. What percent of vanilla zones and what percent of Outlands zones do you actually like, high level or not?

I think on the whole I like a higher percentage of vanilla zones, but you’re right about the high level zones sucking (same is true of Outlands though)
