Outland Herbs not counting as outland skill

Hello. I’m in Outlands right now farming old herbs.

Currently Golden Sansam and Dreamfoil and mountain silversage are counting as regular herbs and not increasing outlands herbalism.

These are outland herbs and should increase skill for outlands.

It’s weird that Felweed is right beside the Dreamfoil and one increases classic and the other increases outlands skill.

Those are vanilla herbs; their presence in BC zones was a legacy transition to enable seamless leveling of Herbalism when players started going to Outland before Level 60. (Many herbalists wouldn’t have had the skill level necessary to pick even the lowest-skill BC herbs, back when you literally were not allowed to harvest nodes which require higher skill points than you currently had. This is not an issue any longer, since you can gather from any node if you have 1 point of the basic skill.)

The highest concentrations of Golden Sansam are in vanilla zones (Swamp of Sorrows, Felwood). Likewise, Dreamfoil is mostly found in Felwood, Blasted Lands, or Silithus.

They are vanilla herbs, mostly encountered in vanilla zones, and appropriately give vanilla skill only no matter where encountered.

This may be the case but they are required for the opening levels of outland alchemy.

It doesn’t make sense to give a player an outland recipes like volatile healing ( for example ) which requires Golden SanSam and Felweed and only make the felweed an outland herb.

They are literally 5 feet from each other.

As I type this, my skill in regular herbs is at 65 and I’m still getting Sansam leafs instead of the full herb.
