Idk it just looks really basic. I think it’s the robe. It’s a standard vanilla robe, 2D textures, basic tube sleeves, no 3D gloves…
Idk it just feels like all the effort was put into the hood and shoulders and the rest was thrown together.

Yeah… Idk how we get basic robes up to this day, really. They have such good standards of armor making now and then all of sudden we have stuff that could be in WoD, back when only helmets, shoulders and belts had unique shapes.
Like the Druid tier. Great concept… poor execution. The robe does have many textures of ‘roots’ simulating 3D-ness, and it looks bad honestly. When you wear it on a Kul Tiran (ironically the race that the set would make most sense on), those textures get extremely deformed.
Don’t even get started at the shoes… or rather, ‘socks’, because there’s barely any texture there.
looks like a reskin, its terrible tbh
I think we’ve reached the ‘minimum effort, maximum reward’ phase of this game. The amount of effort put into content is sloppy & lazy. Kinda pathetic for a multi-billion dollar company.
There’s a stark contrast between this tier and last tier.
Last tier warlocks had arguably the best set in the game. The mythic set is so good. The Hexflame robe was so good. Lots of 3D elements, and a shirtless design which I think is the first we’ve ever had.
This tier it’s just like “What happened?”
Right?! I don’t Mythic raid or do high level M+, but I had to get the Mythic version on my warlock, and it was a long process of getting every slot to 619, so I could actually farm gilded crests by trading runed ones. The 4 enchanted crests we get from reputation def. helped. Sadly I was too late to find a way to get the lookalike options available to use on other clothies, so it’s probably something to do next expansion when doing Palace Mythic becomes a cakewalk.
And I also went through the masochism that is doing Solo Shuffle as a warlock to get the Elite version lol.
I love the Mythic the most, because it matches perfectly the Void Elf heritage set, so I get to diversify a bit. The PVP red one is also perfect for a Blood Elf.
They put all of their budget into Priest and Monk haha.
I think its time they reconsider what robe skirts are. We are starting to get coat tails, wouldn’t be hard to make robes start running things like that instead of the vanilla tube design.
Open front robes wouldn’t be impossible either. I have already seen them use designs that mimic that. Linking the torso and legs to make a full piece.
Man our tiers set looks worse than some of the quest gear .
What are these colors they chose.
