Suppose you’re right lol It will do them a disservice in not having the experience of building groups by the time they’re forced to. I can however see how the problem for lower level content is only going to get worse for small servers as time goes on and less people are playing
Personally yes it’s a convenience I enjoy. I like being able to be out in the world and doing a dungeon ,and here is the big part, being put back where I was. I like being able to pick up where I was when I started.
I have had the same issue with the classic LFG tool only thing is when people start being toxic or sorry we dont want plate/cloth/leather/mail cause we dont want people to roll on our gear. and you can say oh make your own group I have and I spent hours to get a group togather asking people to dps /heal/tank and I get already saved or no dont want plate to take my gear. Me and my friend has a blast lvling back in day threw LFG/RDF we and we still do today on retail we start fresh toons and just run dungeons and we cant do that in classic and that sucks.
Anyways, no, convenience isn’t the only reason why I want to see RDF. Accessability is the other. I’ll put it this way, the way dungeons are placed for Wrath and TBC zones are pretty much easy to get too as they are in there respected zones to the level that you are in. Vanilla, they are not. They are all over the place. You’re not going to want to quest in EK and want to do Maraudon dungeon, knowing how much of a pain it is just to get there in the first place.
I’d say theres not too many other arguments for RDF. Community is a huge argument against having it in the game. Not sure convenience can top community honestly.
Gatekeeping - too many LFG groups randomly inviting classes for dungeons they don’t sign up for, and won’t say anything other than the name of the dungeon they are running.
Sometimes you get a GG at the end. Those are good runs.
