We haven’t had a decent troll in years.
Agreed, the pro-rdf trolls are really phoning it in.
I don’t mind trolling done right. In fact, I appreciate it. These jokers are just too obvious.
I will say that the RDF trolling from both sides here is way more easier to handle than the trolling on the retail forum.
I’ve literally never seen this reason outside of a subheading of why rdf is good. It’s always been about discrimination and loot reserving.
If you want to get a group then drop what you are doing and walk for 10 minutes because no one is at the stone and your going you going there will inspire someone else to help you summon, that’s good.
Not my cup of tea though
Well, some of us are, others are just labelling people with sometimes offensive labels as a means to dismiss them, I.E "group of entitled people "
Because they have a different opinion and different reason for wanting RFD, they are entitled? no that’s a cop out and dismissive.
Many of you people on massive realms see it as fine because there is so many people, in my case unless I want to go to us realms, I have one I can go to for PVE, and here is the issue, this was last night from 7.30 until 10 pm when I closed it, so you see its not entitlement but a need to even get a group.
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Lower level dungeons are pretty much barren, anything current is pretty easy to get into. That’s my only gripe really.
Actually RDF did bypass lockouts which was a complaint when it came out. You could gear any character in a day by just queueing random heroics… you could run the same heroic 3 times in a row queueing randoms.
Helps people actually play the game, that are stuck on dead servers.
Breaks up the grind of questing.
You say convenience like its a evil enity, when it really it is just better use of your time.
Do you really think that’s better to just get all your bis in one day? I don’t know how I feel about it, at least not right at launch when thats the only game play to do atm. maybe for catch up is okay?
Blizzard should fix this. The problem is much deeper then not running a dungeon. Your areanas, raids, and AH will suffer too. Dead servers should be merged.
This is just wrong. One of the most common arguments in favor of RDF is it would help alleviate some of the queue issues because you’re not being punished quite as harshly for playing on a lower population server.
When they added RDF was when the game was at its peak but whatever kiddo believe that if you’d like.
bunch of nonsense from a little kiddo
I see ignorance in this post, yes
Completely false, why do you right wingers make such silly posts?
I laughed out loud at this, what makes you think they are a right-winger? Does not needing RDF make invalidate your social liberalism?
WoW’s subscription numbers stagnated from the very start of Wrath of the Lich King for the first time since the game’s initial launch, at ~11.5 million active subscriptions
RDF was first introduced in patch 3.3, about 1 year and 1 month into Wrath of the Lich King. From this point, the game started to see minor but steady growth in subscriptions over the remaining year of Wrath of the Lich King, peaking at ~12 million shortly before the launch of Cataclysm. These numbers plateaued again here, before finally beginning to fall a decent ways into Cataclysm
In short, WoW’s popularity reached a peak right at the beginning of Wrath and did not climb any higher until RDF was introduced, wherein it began to grow even further throughout the year long content drought that made up the second half of the expansion’s life cycle, and did not begin falling until Cataclysm had already released and established itself.
Just some food for thought
I am 100% ok with RDF never seeing wrath classic.
Much like I am 100% ok with LFR never seeing cata classic if they do cata classic.
Heroic lockouts server a purpose what’s the purpose if you put in RDF and you can just do randoms all day…
Sure it would help lower levels find groups as those levels can be hard to do dungeons on more advanced servers. It would also help those on lower pop realms find groups too.
But as it was implemented originally it should never be in classic as it invalidates any heroic lockout.
I also think there will be a rise in “ninja looters” as soon as RDF hits classic, if it ever hits classic, cause there won’t be any chance at a repercussion when it’s cross realm.
Honestly I’d not be opposed to RDF exclusively for low-level content 1-70
Because these people always post the exact same way right wingers argue in real life, you can see how sad they are
So you just kinda made some really rude assumptions about them huh?
I’m not pro-RDF (not really anti-RDF just don’t think it’s a big deal) and I’m probably one of the most progressive types
I mean the anti-RDF crowd brought the hostile attitude so I think i’m fine with fighting fire with fire and being a little rude back to them
It is a pretty big deal now thanks to blizzard’s incompetence. It could go a long way to helping with the queue issues since blizzard doesn’t want to fix them
Nothing you quoted from them sounded very rude… If you can’t have a discussion without name calling you’re better off not having that discussion at all. It’s not productive.
Now I don’t disagree Blizzard needs to deal with server population issues, I just think RDF only solves a fraction of the problems you face on dead servers and isn’t the full fix.
You’re right that he isn’t particularly rude in the OP and I’m not going through his history to see how he posts outside of this topic, but there’s no reason to treat his side with any kind of respect when they’re the ones who started the hostilities in the first place. It’s kind of like being surprised when people call you a racist after you admit to voting for Trump
It would be better to have RDF come out when it is supposed to, with ICC but with blizzard’s incompetence it’d go a long way toward lessening the punishments for transfers
