Other specs similar to Destro playstyle?

I wasn’t sure which board to post this in, but I’m in the middle of leveling all my alts to 120, and I’m wondering which other classes & specs have a playstyle that’s similar to Destro lock? I’m talking about the whole “build up a resource until a certain point and then unleash powerful nukes” sort of thing?

I have a 110 of every class thanks to Legion but I never really bothered to master their playstyles too much. I don’t really like managing too many dots or farming for crits/procs/etc, I just like blowing $%^ up with big numbers, I don’t care if it’s suboptimal.

I’m guessing the closest things right now are Spriest and Ele Shaman? I’ve never gotten the hang of any of the Mage or Hunter specs and I have zero clue how any of the melee classes work.

Can anyone help?

If you like big numbers on your screen.

Fire mage?
Or if you wanna Try an easy melee class that has big numbers. Paladin.

Ele can work.
Moonkin?

Fire mage is the closest you can get to Destro. But since you mentioned big numbers, MM and Boomkin can definitely put those out.

To a limited extent I think a glacial spike frost mage feels similar. You build up soul shards/icicles so you can spend them on your long cast, hard hitting nuke (chaos bolt/glacial spike) that can cleave a second target with havoc/splitting ice+stacked. The similarity breaks down for AoE and wanting to shatter glacial spike with a brain freeze proc.

I think boomkin feels closer overall.

elemental shaman (almost identical to destro)
balance druid (very, very similar to destro)
marksman hunter
frost mage (with glacial spike)

Paladin would be a very close one for a Melee class. You build Holy Light (like the Warlock Shards) and then dump with big hits like Templar’s Verdict. Very very simple.
