Druids need more forms! MOAR!
The fact there was no fire bear form to go with the existing cat form, newer bird form, and stag form is kind of insulting. I’d settle for those dark/orange runebears though.
It was weird they produced all those variations on the rune bear, then only let you unlock one form. Really expected to see the fall colored rune bear later in the game and it never appeared.
Seemed like an obvious win and an easy lift to at least offer some different seasons of the tree tank beyond the spring flower-bear. (winter would have been fierce… kept telling myself “winter is coming”)
Dear Blizzard, it’s coming to 11.1.0, regarding other runebear colours.
You made them, you have them, we would like them, could you please implement them for players.
A true champion. I appreciate the dedication .
Also for those still farming the emerald forms including the runebear from my experience it is not bugged. I saw another recent post saying GM confirmed they are bugged but I do not think that is the case for everyone and is strictly RNG. I just came back about a month and a half ago. Farmed the forms for about 3 weeks, 2 of those weeks with two druids and got the rune bear and ristar. Just keep at it and level some Alts. This is the only time I’ve ever gotten lucky with any kind of drop in any content and I’ve been playing off and on since 2005 . RNG be damned. I just don’t want to see y’all give up if that is not the case so wanted to put my 2 cents in there. Best of luck
They’re probably holding the recolors to count as “brand new additions” to some patch in the future
Honestly, it should be a default compromise, that every major patch, Guardian and Feral druids get at least 01 new form or color variation, possibly themed after something from the patch.
Reason is - they provide an armory of brand new weapon models every major patch, exciting for all the specs that can use those… Not as much for Guardian and Feral. Just one form per major patch is the bare minimum they could do to make up for it.
I’d like to see them add the white bristlebruin too. Not sure why they never added that one.
What would really be kool is if they created designs where the “primary” and “secondary” colors in the design could be changed by players. Maybe by using limited colors available from crafters (“hair dye made from inscription pigments”).
Would empower players to express themselves more, create variety in raid groups, allow guilds and dungeon teams new options to create identity, have a great impact on the economy, and all at a minimum development cost.
That would unlock a lot of options for druids to make their characters more personal and fun. If there was some kind of generic reduction of bracers, belt, and shoulders to an appearance that could show up on our beast forms it would be great. But just building a new form (or recolor) when they built tier sets would be wonderful.
Honestly, if they are so hesitant to add new forms more often, then a simpler solution while those aren’t implemented would be just adding new elements to the basic forms.
Exactly how they made for Moonkin. Every major patch the basic forms (Bear, cat and Moonkin) gets a couple of new accessories to unlock - bonus if those could be themed to the patch itself.
I’d bet money that’s what’s coming. Maybe both. A new basic structure then through alchemical/inscripction dyes/pigments, studying wild life, or unlocking magical totems we open customizations similar to mounts in the dragon isles.
We’ve seen some of it with the new boomkin form and warlock pet customizations. And yea, I think it will be fantastic.
Please blizzard, have mercy on us all druid mains.
Hunters can tame cats and bears cooler than most druid forms. Pretty lame.
Seems like if they flagged those “tame-able” ones as possible to study and learn for druid forms we’d have a huge variety druids in a short time. Would be pretty cool.
