Well, dracthyr got access to many other classes in the 11.0.5 patch, awesome and welcome additions, but I think many of us are still wondering about the other side of the equation: Would it be possible to let other races roll evoker? Or do you think that would detract from the “specialness” of the class?
Or alternatively, dragonflight had many dracthyr npcs using visage form of so many races, so could we not add more possible races to dracthyr visage form? Off the top of my head, Selistra was a vulpera and Soridormi was a female belf. Meanwhile players are limited to female human and male belf?
And of course, Green dragonflight is closely linked to night elves (Ysera), Ruby Dragonflight (Alexstrasza) is female belf. Then there is Kalecgos, Deathwing… We are so limited in our ability to live those archetypes.
Personally, I was thinking it would be cool to experiment with a “dragon magic” evoker character without being a dracthyr.
The class is too tied to the race. We have class talents that affect our racial, for example. Or skills that involve flying over the battlefield and shooting magic out of our mouths.
In lore I could see a non-dracthyr doing evoker magic (lower case E) in lore, but I couldn’t see a player character non-dracthyr ever being an Evoker (capital E, the class). It would require some of its fundamental class design to be retconned away.
As for visage form. No reason they couldn’t, but they probably won’t. It sort of undermines race choices if there was race that could go full shapeshifter. Especially when dracthyr’s racials are so good. World of Dracthyrcraft.

Hmm, yes you are right. Expanding visage from to all races could be kind of disastrous.
I still think it would be cool to give a few magic oriented races access to the evoker class, for a different perspective and dimension, even if they have to adjust racials and certain abilities a bit.
