Lol you’re just looking for your “gotcha moment” aren’t you? I posted because I was surprised at how many people were actually playing the game when I logged in.
You posted this so you could trash talk WoW. Otherwise you would have just posted on the SWTOR forums.
You could have just said that lol
Square did announce when FF14 broke 1 mil subs last year, though. The unofficial census numbers we get are pretty accurate too. Better than nothing, at least.
No, I posted to let the disillusioned WoW fanbois like you know that people are in fact getting fed up with these devs and are playing other games.
So what you’re saying is you just posted to rile up people for no good reason.
Just letting people know that all these “I’m Done” posts aren’t just blowing smoke. Hopefully Blizzard takes heed. I want WoW to be the best it can be but they are doubling down on the same crappy systems that people have been complaining about for 7-8 years now
TLDR: Knifeprty likes wow, wants it to be a better game, sees it going a direction he doesnt like, goes about saying this in a ham fisted way then all the ppl that are overprotective of their mmo jump up and down trying to ‘logic’ him out of his opinion.
Lol that’s pretty much the gist
Yeah, he didn’t do any of that. He just posted about how another game may or may not have had more people playing it than normal.
People have always played other games - sometimes at the same time they play WoW because gamers like to game, you know. If you’re seeing more people it may be a result of the Covid effect rather than people leaving WoW, or it could be a combination of the two (since it is the end of the expansion) or it could be something else. Who knows.
I still see plenty of people out and about so I don’t think WoW is going to die any time soon.
Now he is making up stuff about what others are thinking. Folks can’t just be interested in SWTOR. They have to play it because they hate WoW.
That’s some logic there. And, when you question that logic you are a ‘butthurt fanboi’.
You can’t have a ‘conversation’ with folks like that.
You are correct. I was playing SWTOR, Rift, Guildwars, Anarchy Online and WoW all around he same time.
I never once played them because I disliked other games. I played them because I found them all interesting enough to want to play.
Agreed,it is possible to like more than one game, these doomsayer threads by the perpetually jaded are getting old. ._. It’s fine not to like a game but logic dictates if one hates a franchise so much, they just need to move onto greener pastures/a game that does make people happy rather than spew vitriol and crap on people who like the game they hate. It makes them come off as attention grabby to keep posting on a forum for a game they allegedly don’t even play anymore.

I took a visit to the SW:TOR forums today. There are numerous disgruntled posters. I guess it isn’t paradise after all.
Funny how some people are acting so insulted like I personally attacked them. I was just saying that I’ve noticed WoW kinda dead lately and noticed more people on SWTOR.
I’m sorry, I wasn’t insulted. I know that’s what you were going for, but you’ll have to try a lot harder. We’ve all seen this type of thread many times before.
With the virus and people being at home if any MMO isn’t seeing an uptick in players they don’t have much hope for the future.
WoW has even seen this increase as Blizzard had to turn layering back on in Classic due to the influx of players and ever increasing queue times
SWTOR may be seeing an increase in players, but it has nothing to do with " players looking for something else ". SWTOR at launch had around 2 million players. I seriously doubt its anywhere near that or the press would be all over it.
I have been playing FFXIV Shadowbringers since it launched last year. It’s an amazing game; however, it does seem to be suffering from a content drought right now. So I resubbed here to see what’s going on.
There aren’t a lot of people on SWTOR. There are just so few servers that each server has a lot of people.
