Now I’ve had considerable bad luck in trying to get these recepies… not complaining about that. I get that luck is well… luck. But the summon for Avarius has been bugged for the past 3 days on my server preventing me from even being able to have a shot at it.
Do i not understand how this boss works? Am I doing something wrong? Or is it really just glitched into oblivion and I should just expect to mine 1 or 2 ore per node for the foreseeable future?
The way I understand it is, you get the Brinestone PIckaxe and go mine brinestone until you get the 5 different shards and place them on their pillars to summon Avarius. After Avarius is defeated the shards are supposed to vanish readying the summon for someone who has not yet participated that day. Is this correct? or am I just dead wrong; because the shards are not vanishing after he is defeated preventing any further summons.

I think it can’t spawn with the WQ happening. Which have been up for 3 consecutive days now. It’s very annoying.
It’s bugged. I just hopped servers for a bit and killed it 6-8 times using other people’s summons and got the drop that way. Can get it in 10 min if the node/crystals aren’t giga broke.
Yeah, I’ve had it bug out hard several times where I would get there, all by my lonesome, grab the gems, start inserting them, get one or two done, and the rest are suddenly non-interactable, and the boss never spawns.
The good news is that you technically don’t have to do the summon to get the drop from him. On both of my miners that are doing this content right now, I got the rank 2 drop from him on other people’s summon, just happened to be running past and saw that he was up. (interestingly, for both characters, it happened on the same day, followed up by getting rank 3 on the very next node I mined)
Now I’m just waiting for rank 3 seam on both of them, which seems to be taking forever.
That part i know. The issue is that even while server hopping this bug is very prevalent. Meaning no one can summon it so I can’t even set up camp to leech of other people summons.
