Original WoW trailer

When you saw this for the first time, which of the fictional player characters featured in it did you want to be the most in game?

And did you end up actually playing that the first time you opened the game?

Do you still play as that character now?

I wanted to be the fire mage hurling fireballs from the tower the most

I ended up making a human rogue the first time I played

Now I play a disc/shadow priest

What about you?

Tauren Hunter, and I did for a very long time. Now it’s a goblin to go with my goblin engineer.

I wanted to be the badass mage hurling fireballs at the infernal (which… I mean, they’re immune to fire, BUT STILL - and he did switch to frost there at the end.)

So mage I was and still am to this day.

The first time I saw the dwarf Hunter with his bear or the human mage standing on the tower, throwing frost while everything around him burned

I liked the Tauren the most, but I ended up playing a Human Paladin. I wanted a class that could wear the best armor, swing the coolest weapons, and have self-heals that stuff like warrior and rogue didn’t have.

Also because I used to play Paladin in Diablo 2 for the same reasons.

I loved my Paladin for years, and I remade him for Classic back in 2019 and loved him all over again.

I started late Wrath, Early cat. I did see the trailers and wanted to play the Elf. Of course the elf in the video looks a lot more like a Blood Elf than a Knight Elf. So I played the character that looked like the one in the video, not the one that was available in Vanilla.

I didnt start playing wow until wod. So none of them.
But watching it now, i think the dwarf hunter is more me, but the undead warlock was by far the coolest.

None. Ended up with a troll shadow priest I played all the way until the end of the original PvP honor system, then moved to…uh. I don’t even remember what came next.

Regardless, that old priest still lives. He’s just a Pandaren now.

came for the warlock, made and stayed for the priest

It still gives me goosebumps, just not as many, it’s been a long time since the beginning.

But it’s not my main, the Druid won.

Akston was my first character past lvl 5. It wasn’t during vanilla, but TBC.

Akston was initially a tauren. Racially, Akston has had a journey before I settled on perfection

The night elf druid shifting into a cat was so, so cool to 10 year old me. I wanted to be that, and I did. I played my druid for a couple years before really getting into hunters and taming cats instead. I don’t play either of those anymore lol.

The Tauren. I still love that guy and wish we could fight with the war totems. First character was a Tauren warrior of course. Played him through basically just the starting village there, Camp Narache or something like that, restarted as an Orc Warlock to see the Orc starting zone and fell in love with the Warlock. I eventually lost access to my original account after quiting for a bit and never bothered to restore it. I just made a new account. So that Tauren probably still exists in the data bank somewhere but I can’t play him he’s probably like level 6-10 or something.

The Dwarf Hunter.

No, I was a kid at a friend’s house and he played WoW, as Horde. He said I could try the game by making my own character, but he said it had to be Horde :joy: So I made a Tauren, because Tauren are awesome.

No, but I did make that Dwarf when I made an account, not a hunter tho, warrior. Still have him, level him to max each expansion but don’t do much more.

The Undead Warlock. The thought of controlling those huge fire beasts was really cool, i was disappointed to learn they were only a temporary summon and not nearly as powerful later on.

I rolled a Hunter after that because i liked the variety of pets compared to warlock demons.

Im just here to tell you that I adore your name
