Original Vanilla CD/Key!

Who still has their Original WoW Box with the CDs from 2004?

I still have mine!

I had to email them to find my Account Associated with them and actually logged in to it. Highest level Char I have is a 90 Mage. LOL

I’m debating using my Original Account when Classic releases, but then I would have to purchase all the Xpacs up to BFA to play it. (Wish they would not force us to have BFA).

I wonder if I can skip everything and just Sub to Classic with my Vanilla Account? Hmmmmmmmm

Wish I could post Pics of the Box/CDs. :frowning:

You do not need to have BfA to play Classic.

Got my original disks still, got the box they came, in fact got mine, my son’s and
my wife’s original cd’s.

yep still have the disks and the boxes for like the first 3. i think i bought cata digitally

u dont need to have BFA purchased to do it - I’ve been sharing a retail account for awhile with family cuz I never played it hardly at all but now I’m setting up my old one again lol.

i dont know what happened to my old cd/key. I was in college and moved around quite a bit during those years of college/post college.

I cant imagine i would have thrown it away, but i wouldn’t even know where to begin to find it

I have an active sub, have had one since 2004, won’t play the new garabe any
more just not fun anymore.

I bought the vanilla, TBC, and wrath CDs, after that digital upgrades. Honestly, I haven’t seen those CDs in YEARS… As a military guy I moved stations every 3 years, so keep track of stuff was never my strong point, I always used self-move because you could pocket some cash as opposed to contracted movers, except Hawaii… can’t drive a uhaul in the ocean lol.

Now I remember sitting outside game stop in Manhattan, Kansas near Fort Riley, KS at midnight to buy TBC at launch lol.

i’m still playing on my original account. the original Fooki is now a troll hunter on mal’ganis… this lock was my first BE back in tBC, named Xì on dragonmaw. =]

knowing my mom though, she probably threw away any old boxes & disks ffrom years back. =/

I still have the boxes for Vanilla, BC, WOTLK and I kept one of the game time card box as well. I’m so glad that the internet got better at this point because installing the game from the discs (vanilla + BC + WOTLK) took over 3 hours and it crashed/froze frequently. I also had to download and keep the patch installer somewhere and figure out in which order to install them or else I would have went through my 5 gb download limit in no time.

I still have my collector’s edition box and almost all of the contents. Lost the map and the ring it was in at some point in time. The game manual with my cd keys is a little beat up because I use to read it a lot when I had to share the PC with sisters, but the sticker with the CD keys is in perfect condition. I still remember 12yo me being blown away at the game having a 4 disc install.

I got mine, its the original 4 cd’s version. I also have a story about my Burning Crusade dvd, the damn store or the manufacturer, idk put a staple right through the disc cover so I had to download the iso even though I bought it lol

I’m pretty sure I bought it new so idk how that happend, and the cd key wasn’t used…

LOL. that’s insane. The crazy thing is, if it was on the disc cover on the inside of the box that had to come from manufacturing. The store could’ve damaged the outside of the box, but unless it was opened, wouldn’t have hit the cd case.

That’s a funny story though, and very interesting. Why on earth would a staple even be on the manufacturing plant floor to begin with i dunno

Ya I’m pretty sure it was new cause I ripped the sticker at the top to open it…

that’s 100% manufacture error. Gamestop, wal-mart, etc… wouldn’t have opened the case up and tampered with the interior. That happened during assembly

It was from the computer store in my town, anyway that doesn’t matter anymore with the new launcher, we all just get the expansions anyway whether we bought it or not :stuck_out_tongue:

lol, that’s even worse than the stores putting stickers damaging the box art. You know, those horrible people that put the sticker on the paper inside the game case.
