Would love if this old school raid would be brought back. Granted the mog is a little vanilla graphics but still would be great to have the Corrupted Ashbringer as a Mog. What are all your thoughts?
I thought the cosmetics did come back?
Edit: I found it! How to get tier 3 is dumb, though.
I’d be down for OG Naxx returning.
would be a cool 20th anniversary event tbh, returning the most infamous raid ever released for an anniversary event sounds dope.
BMAH is quicker and cheaper… just saying.
Though to the OPs point, I actually would like this to come back. Was a fun raid.
It should never have been removed in the first place.
I’ve never been able to win a piece on the BMAH. I fail at bidding. lol
So the old version of Naxx isn’t available to get that stuff? Is it just drops from the new version?
Do you want to collect trash mob drops?
The old version of Naxx is still gone. What we have now is a quest that reintroduces some of the lost appearances from it into the game through a vendor, as well as the reintroduction of Scourgestones and Argent Dawn Valor Tokens.
In blizzard fashion it’s not all the lost appearances, there’s still no way to unlock the old low res Corrupted Ashbringer or Atiesh, and you cannot actually craft the materials needed to obtain tier appearances yourself unless you’ve already unlocked the appearances for a full set of T3.
Although I get that items cannot be ported from Classic to retail, it would be a good option to permit appearances of things earned on your account to be available, at least one way (Classic → Retail). That would both tempt more people to play Classic and allow them to earn the appearances for those items on their retail account. Which would not be that terrible a thing imo and it should appeal to Blizzard and its desire to increase player activity in their games.
Yeah, this I knew. Which is stupid. They should’ve just put it all on a vendor for a bunch of currency. Finding someone who has full sets to cesft it for millions is just dumb, imo.
It is back. You have to do a long quest and rep thing to get access.
Did it last year. It is fun. Haven’t had a chance to farm it yet though.
Which was incredibly stupid.
Any appearance that was removed prior to the introduction of the wardrobe system should be reintroduced. Full stop.
Yeah it would make sense to do all this rep grind and quest lines that take a lot of time if content was still relevant but Much like Shadowmorne requiring 50 Shards off of the Lich King where 1 1-2 from a week which I’m not gonna run all that nonsense for old Mog. I mean for mogging purposes, they should do away with the grinds for old content since they haven’t merged old world rep yet.
Quicker? No. New stuff you can just find someone who already has the stuff, pay the gold, have it made. Little searching to find someone, sure, but ultimately you can get the full set instantly once you find someone. Vs hoping the right pieces show up on the BMAH over time.
Cheaper? Depends entirely on server, no?
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with OP that Naxx be brought back, working in software myself I am under no illusion it may be difficult to do but surely not IMPOSSIBLE to do.
Initially I had the same mindset here, however when I thought about it more it wouldn’t be something suitable for a limited-time addition to wow because the amount of work put it to make it limited time would be a poor use of resources.
If Blizzard ends up reading this, this is the EXACT reason that me, a collector (Mounts, Pets, Appearances, etc) who’s been subbed since WOTLK has not gotten instantly hooked and sunk enough time into Classic to get past 30. Again I can understand if it is difficult to achieve however again it literally can’t be impossible. I have had this thought back around when Classic was announced and I cannot for the life of me understand why the developers don’t think it’s a good idea financially to capture the player base that play Classic by incentivizing them with appearance/mount/pet unlocks (or even the ability with an in-game currency fee) - it isn’t like it doesn’t make sense to do with the apparent crossover shadowy void figure that appears in the new Season of Discovery referencing Xalatath. Blizzard announced the entire Classic spinoff with the Bronze Dragonflight, just use them as the excuse/reason that it becomes possible and done/dusted.
My guy as the owner of like 4-5 Shadowmournes I can say I get that quest done on a 7 week average, if it is dropping for you that low consistently each week then you are either 1. incredibly cursed or 2. not running it on Heroic 25 difficulty which is the one that provides the most.
Well, I’m sure we get to put Atiesh back together again so might as well.
Yeah Its drops a little more. 1st week my RNG was horrible. But yeah I am averaging about 4-6 a run on 25 man heroic. I am definitely incredibly cursed with RNG… Just like the DF leggo on my pally. I started that farm in season 3 and didn’t get the leggo until the last week of DF. It’s typical for sure.
Dont we have that already tho as artifacts skins ?
