Anyone still rocking the old key chain authenticators? Been using mine since they came out, just curious if anyone else still using one
Still have mine in a drawer collecting dust, but didn’t they stop being functional years ago with the app?
No, mine still works fine
Still have mine from Cata. It still works when I need to relog here on the forums. Don’t remember the last time I had to use it on the Blizzard client itself though since that seems to remember the computer you use.
I’m sure I still have it somewhere, but I thought it wuot working ages ago.
They’ve been working all this time if you still had one attached. However they will no longer be supported in January, as the announced full migration to the app authenticator includes those still using the physical token.
My husbands still works, from Original, he used to to log into Bnet for Diablo.
Mine quit working last year, battery died.
I still have one on my computer desk but it has been replaced with the mobile version. After a couple of years, it started to get slower and slower to load up and I knew it was on it’s last leg.
Still have mine, and it works quite well.
Mine died a while ago. Thank goodness for the new app. It’s so much easier to hit “approve” on my lock screen on rare occasions. It makes me hate the Old Republic authenticator. LOL
Not exactly. The authenticator app is being retired. If you have a physical authenticator and it still works, you aren’t effected.
mine started warning me that the battery was waning this year, so I transitioned to a phone auth method. I just clicked it to check, went batt 00 and fed me a number. 2009-2023, good run.
Still have mine, and it still works. I’m kind of surprised, really.
still have mine that I got with the SC2 collector’s edition and the battery still works, but I’m using the app now.
Yea i still have my original one from when they came out. Still works but decided to swap to the new authenticator app. Id recommend doing the same cause if the battery dies. You gotta put in a ticket and prove your identity and the whole 9 yards to get it removed to be able to swap to the new authenticator
