Oribos is kinda trash

There doesn’t seem to be a place where players can duel each other in city.

There should have been a fighting pit in the basement of the inn where the Ethereals (or whatever the shadowlands version of the Ethereals are called) are placing bets.

Players should have been able to queue for duels like the duelers league, players should have been able to bet against each other on the duels like in the brawlers guild, and there should have been some sort of Gurubashi Arena chest event every day where a super rich Ethereal throws in a treasure chest to see people fight for his amusement.

There’s no portals between your cov hall and oribos even though there’s basically a perfect spot in the room with Bolvar. This just makes it a slog to go between your main inn and crafters/auctions/pvp vendors etc. Really just seems silly.

Soulless and empty- completely devoid of that warcraft charm that dripped from the franchise since Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness. I feel like I’m playing Rift Storm Legion.

i haven’t noticed where alliance duel in boralus, i have personally seen horde duel on the zuldazar pyramid and at the docks. i agree, there doesn’t seem to be a common lobby for duels this expansion. although i frequently get duel challenges while waiting at Galleon and Sha of Anger

i remember all the times i hung out in 2009 northrend dalaran how often i would see a “xxxx has defeated ZZZZ in a duel” breaking up the /2 chat channel

It’s a soul distribution factory, that’s its purpose.

perhaps the lack of mailboxes makes sense but i still don’t like it. and not being able to mount up. those are my biggest complaints.

(katy really doin some work this xpac lol)

They need an AH, more mail boxes and storage access.

I’d rather just have a flight master whistle and a main city hub hearthstone.

Oribos no… Maldraxxus yes…

It makes 100% perfect sense that the Theater of Pain should have an area that’s a dedicated dueling arena where players can 1v1 duel eachother and also have an area that contains a variant of the Brawler’s Guild where you can solo fight against special pve mobs.

It fits the lore of the Theater of Pain as it already has established itself as a fighting arena where you fight against both special mobs and against other players in lore, as seen during during it’s quests and in the dungeon.

It’s an airport for dead souls. Not a mortal city.

It’s one way and pretty worthless.

You have an entire world outside to duel in, and you complain you can’t flex your epeen in the city?

They’re talking about Oribos. You know, the thing floating over nothingness? Hard to duel while plummeting.

I mean, Samus and Ridley did that just fine in Metroid Prime 3…

They have never put AH in new main hub unless you’re an engineer, the 1 mail box is a non-issue (there are other things to gripe about) and I don’t know what you mean by storage access…there’s an immersion breaking bank in the hall of holding next to the great vault of lies.

They are only one way, though. No portal in Oribos.

I like the fighting pit idea.

There’s actually two.

The Attendants are already freaking out about all the animals and junk the brokers are porting into Oribos could you just imagine their reaction to the brokers setting up a dueling ring complete with betting? Come bet on the underground mortal fights here!

It is like Dalaran or Shatt . It is a sanctuary city and no Sanctuary city has allowed dueling. The only place I know of is the Underbelly of Dalaran but not on the building level .
