Is Orgrimmar getting an update in Shadowlands at all? I actually don’t really understand the city. It really makes no sense. It’s a disaster. The place looks like it was hit by 50 hurricanes.

I feel a bit silly being the third Alliance player commenting on here (really I play Horde, too! Just forum grinding encourages me to post only on one character!) but I honestly had a hard time learning the layout of Orgrimmar until I spent a very large part of an expansion raiding the place ^.^ Definitely learned where the bank was after that.
However, it has some hidden gems. Like the forgotten AH in the troll area. And I think its weird layout helps tell the story of how it’s not the perfect place, it’s literally a bit of protected canyon, but it’s what the Horde was able to build with the limited options they had. It’s environmental storytelling.
But seriously maybe they should consider being more like the dwarves and build underground cities. They’ve already got some pretty spacious places dug out underneath the city (which makes me wonder just what the water table is for the area…)

I’d just like it to be at least finished. It’s been on a state of being repaired since freaking Cata. How many times has SW been repaired and updated in that time?

Damaged by the Cataclysm.
Then apparently spent all the construction money on cavernous underground spaces.
Then was invaded by joint Alliance and Horde forces.
Then… I dunno, spent a lot of time building a tent city in Frostfire?
Then you can’t tell me that Sylvanas actually cared about rebuilding Orgrimmar beyond buildozing the goblin area. All that money went to war efforts against the Legion and then the Alliance.
Then another siege!
Now they’ve got a council leading the area, and we know how quickly committees make infrastructure decisions.
Maybe Gazlowe will come through on the subject considering his expertise, but he did build the place to begin with…
To be fair, he was working under Orcish design constraints. Let us cut loose and stuff like roads, bridges, electricity, radio, etc would be used instead.

And just look at the massive landscaping project goblins did in Azshara. Given free rein, Orgrimmar could be revolutionized.
I’m now going to be disappointed if Gazlowe doesn’t make a new mark; goblins need to get representation back in Orgrimmar.

Sorry Gazlowe but Orgrimmar is unmitigated bum.
Scrap it and start over elsewhere. I know a hollow tree nearby that would be perfect, it has some minor damage from a recent kitchen fire but it’ll be grand.
Orgrimmar was always a sin against civic planning.
Thunderbluff is better.
Silvermoon is mostly in ruins, and you can’t fly there. Beautiful, but wholly non-functional.
Then there was the Undercity, a glorious bastion of organization. It may have been the seat of the greatest evil spawned of Azeroth save Arthas, but damned if the architects didn’t know what they were doing.

Do you know what would have probably mellowed Garrosh out? A freaking hot tub and a bar where he could grab mai tai’s in Grommash Hold. He would have been too relaxed to give a flying fig about 3/4 of the stuff he did. I give him 1/4 because orcs are still gonna orc… but you cant deny my idea would have helped… a LOT.

Thunderbluff is the bee’s knees. or it would be with massive spikes and anti-siege barriers surrounding it.
if not that, i would be ok with procuring Ironforge from the ungrateful alliance… 
I’m a Horde loyalist but Orgrimmar is absolutely disastrous. I wish that Horde cities had the same easy-to-navigate layout as Alliance cities.

Apparently Alliance prefer Org to be huts and made of mud over a fortress.
