Org visions down 5 masks - a couple of tips

I know that with all of the sanity depletion reduction points we have now, this is not nearly the challenge it was a couple of weeks ago, but I got org down today with 5 masks.

for anyone else of modest skills, like me, FWIW here were a couple of things that helped me:

-get your ilevel up.

more damage = quicker clears and gives you some safety net

-take your time.

out of combat depletion is pretty slow now. just grab a pack at a time and you’ll be fine

-kiting kiting kiting.

but always backwards so you don’t make new friends

the scorched feet launches you forward just a bit and that can also introduce you to new buddies so best to kite/pull back to where you just cleared.

-nemesis mask is definitely your friend.

getting 150 sanity each time you get gammon/hogger down is clutch

however, I don’t know how to tell when he is about to arrive. since gammon has a stun, best to stay on trash until he comes along.

-i ignored the potions

i just didn’t want to bother with the negative effects

a couple of problem areas

-in the drag, there are two packs with the mob called K’thir Dominator. focus these guys down asap. they will stun you and it will be a bad time

-also in the drag, when you get to the last boss, he casts some aoe damage. you can use the big stump nearby to los his void torrent.

-skip one pack in the valley of wisdom

when you come into this area, there is a single mob on the path followed by pack where the path splits left/righ. get the first guy down. then do the pack.

I usually head right. but here is where to be careful

there are two packs there: one immediately to the right side and then another pack further off the path nestled in tall totems.

you want to silence and pull back this first pack and completely avoid the pack near the totems. unless you are doing a full clear, they are not needed.

the trick when you get the final boss here, make sure you stay away from that area so you dont pull them in. there is enough room to fight him, but just make sure that if you kite him at all, you go in a safe direction

Congrats, you mentioned in the middle you don’t know how to tell when he will arrive. There should be a counter at the top of your screen that says something like “12 more kills til Nemesis,” or something

Done both SW and Org with 8mask, and my biggest tip is:
Calm down. Make a plan and don’t panic. Figure out the patterns, and truly get to know what all the mobs do if you feel overwhelmed - then sit down and think about what your class can do to counter it.

Example; The big dude on the left in Org does a frontal charge, and then a blob-toss that drains sanity:
Aim the dude at a wall, then move to the left (or right depending on your pools on the ground) and continue doing that sort of pattern to make him super easy to deal with.

Stuff exists for all packs, and don’t give up.

There is a counter at the top of your screen that says “kills until nemesis spawn”.

When that number reaches one, the next mob you kill will spawn hogger/gamon.
