Is it me or is ore 10 times more prevalent than herbs?
I fly around and rarely see herbs. Can’t even level herbing it’s such a low spawn rate.
It’s possible You might be right behind another player farming. I’ve felt like this a few times with mining. I figured it out because I started catching up. It would then disappear while mining. lol.

For me, it’s the exact opposite
I can spot herbs before they ever show up on the minimap. When I’m on a miner, it can be hard to find anything

Honestly, I would say both are pretty plentiful.

Yes, the exact opposite! So much more herbs, especially just se of the capital city. And I use potion of true sight while mining and herbing

So I realized my “find herbs” was not checked. Did I feel dumb? Yep
where is find herbs to turn on?
I typically get the best herbing and mining in the early morning on the weekends. Otherwise it’s tooth and nail for any and all nodes. Doesn’t help people ignore ironclaw and aqirite causing Bismuth to become the cash cow it is.

Anddd that’s blizzards fault. Its ok having some rare nodes/herbs, but the balance of spawns are off, which is way ironclaw is going for 10 gold a piece, aqirite is 20, and bismuth is 40. Everyone is ignoring the ironclaw (possibly meaning that the bismuth isn’t even spawning because the ironclaw is just sitting there).
Ore prices have nothing to do with that (Bismuth is definitely the most common anyways), and everything to do with their usage.
Bismuth is the base Ore for JC, Blacksmithing and Engineering. You need it to crush gems into dust, you use it for Core Alloy which is required for literally everything, and you need it to make Bolts.
Aqirite and Ironclaw are the Prospecting Ores for JC, and Ironclaw is needed for a few basic recipes and Ironclaw Alloy.
