How can one tap a “Rich” node and get 3 ore and then go to a regular node and get 7 ore? And then tap a seam and get 5? That’s without any finesse proc.
(Note: I have no points in either seams nor rich nodes, yet, so those are equal, but I have maxed fundamentals)

A fun little thing called RNG!
If a rich node can give 3-10 ore and a regular node can give 1-7 (no idea what the actual values are, just an example) then a situation like yours can happen. It’s just the way the dice roll.

Mining seems to be much more RNG based in WW compared to DF

how silly, there is only one problem with mining atm and that is the ez-mine nodes don’t reward like rich nodes when they are the most troublesome nodes to mine by a wide margin.

A rich node gave me two copper quality ore today. I’ve got a lot of talent points into mining and the RNG while farming is dreadful.
Can’t seem to find null stones this week either despite having Bismuth and Aqirite maxed out in Plethora of ore. I’ve farmed probably over 1,000 ore and found two null stones.

It’s like the “ez” nodes you spend 10-20 seconds (because rng) and the end of all that you can get 1 or 2 ores.

I think EZ-mine nodes are mis-named. But there is a way to put skill points into it, will probably do that branch next after I finish my current one and see what it does, because there are always ez-nodes that other miners skip.
They’re ironically named.
By Goblins. (Has to be Goblins. Who else would strap huge amounts of explosives to a mineral deposit and label it “EZ”? Goblin engineering and marketing at its finest.)
