Which is better overall? Which do you like better?

I leave the question of which one is better to others, but I base my race choice on which race I like the best and my shaman is a troll because I think that out of all the horde races, trolls are the coolest race with the most fun lore.

I went troll purely for the lore reasons, like a gnome mage posted earlier. Love troll lore and their way of culture. At around a midway point I lost hope since aesthetically I liked Orc more, but I pushed through and now I’m used to it. I’m definitely proud of myself for sticking it out! But yeah PvP is orc, PvE troll. But cool personality and straight up being a savage, troll.
PvE - Troll. not sure for all 3 specs but for resto yes they are best.
PvP - Orc for Hardiness and MAYBE… tauren. some people debate about the taurens being good/bad for shaman pvp but i mean im sure warstomp can come in clutch for healing
i prefer orcs for both pvp and pve. trolls i don’t mind but they are too leggy plus my mage which i mained for 6 years is a troll. xmoging on trolls are not easy but they don’t look that bad.

Orc shoulders are too big tbh. Never liked it. Tauren and Troll both look better in the armor than Orc.

Tauren also get at extra 2.5 yards of casting range.

Troll for min/max. But it’s a small min/max and truthfully only matters to parsers. So pick what you like best and actually PLAY THE GAME.

i’m surprised troll wins in pve for enhance. I can understand ele, but enhance? that’s wild. I thought the added ap would beat out attack speed for a 2h spec.
either way, orc aesthetics win in every category. i’ll zug zug and take the 0.05 dmg loss.
Go Orc, with the racial changes in TBC it will be op, to late at this point to only keep classic in mind.
I’d say whatever style you prefer better. I like Orc for beefiness and + to axes, but the troll fits the shaman aesthetic better imo.
Orcs are basically immune to stun. Orc ANYTHING is never the wrong choice. If you go troll shaman you’ll probably regret it.
while tauren may get to stun you, orc is in combat for more time due to NOT being stunned.

for pvp.
Well you could argue that the orc stun is rng whereas the Tauren can stomp em cl es when they have an opening
I really think the axe spec alone outweighs the berzerking feature but math people will confirm it.
There’s only one real option. Go beefy or go home.

AP stacking Shaman are worse DPS than AP stacking Ret Paladins. And he first raids are FIRE, so no consistent DPS from Flametongue and thus no real chance at all for Spellhance.
Shamans had it bad during this time.
