Orc and Draenei Demon Hunters

Let’s give this class to a couple more races. Orc and Draenei seem the most fitting for them. Not only would these be fantastic choices, it would also open up the long requested red eredar skin for Draenei and the similarly requested fel orc skin for orcs. I’m tired of elves, we need some more options for this class

There is a Mag’har Demon Hunter in Hearthstone. There are also Murdock Demon Hunters in the Illidari. I’m surprised they don’t recruit more races.

Definitely cool by me. I’ve been wanting this since shortly after they were avaliable. We know the Illidari used to have both in their ranks, why did this change during Legion?
It’s definitely the best route for it without the kinda-lame excuse of “oh they’re opening the ranks and teaching other races!”. I don’t think the Illidari would be the type to do that, especially with the greater threat of the Legion dealt with at this point.
…As much as I’d like Nightborne DHs.

Again, there are Muloc Demon Hunters. Also, the Legion threat would’ve been a great reason to recruit more races. All races could train to be Demon Hunters.

Hearthstone is an AU, so you can’t really source it for reasons why something could work.
Murlocs aren’t playable and they’ve always been something they joke around with.

Also, the Illidari don’t seem like they’d be the type to “recruit” after the fact, both with how seriously they take themselves and how they wouldn’t want others to go through what they’ve done themselves. They view their role as a sacrifice, so that others don’t have to sacrifice themselves.

I’m just saying they exist in that game, and it would be cool. I should’ve been more clear.

Murloc Demon Hunters may seem funny, but they’re canon. There is one in Stormheim. I know they aren’t playable, but if they can be trained, so can any race.

They DID recruit after the fact, and they constantly talk about how they sacrificed everything, while everyone else sacrificed nothing compared to them.

What are the Illidari even doing now? Maybe they could train more Demon Hunters to protect Azeroth from other threats?

Gonna be a no from me. There is no reason to with the Legion defeated. The only situation in which this should happen is if they get the DK treatment and have another reason to make more of them. Not to mention, the ritual literally damns the person’s soul to the Nether. No one’s gonna do that if there’s no Legion to fight.

See, the big reason I don’t think they’d really be open to training people is the high requirements for BEING a DH. They have to gouge their eyes out and house a demon inside their body. That’s not something you’re going to just do, let alone show people how if you aren’t sure they’re capable. Especially since, yeah, those specific methods aren’t needed anymore with the Legion mostly taken care of.

If we can’t just open them up to everyone, which would be the prefered situation,
I would give Demon Hunter to Draenei and Void elves for Alliance and Orcs and Nightborne for Horde.

I think goblins should have demon hunters but instead of losing their eyes they take a vow of poverty. That’s their “i’ve given up everything”
